So I'm finally getting my first ever Mandalorian cosplay done, can't wait :D The Helmet should be in at the end of the month, so if its okay I'd like to show it off =] Armor will come later, I already got a makeshift flysuit though, thought coveralls would work perfectly and was a cheap option for me too but still looks authentic enough. I'll post the full armor once its all the way in and completed. I went for dark blue and medium grey color scheme for my helmet, they offer painting services so, and lightly weathered too. Nothing in Star Wars is ever new am I right? :P

Forgot to say, I've had my helmet for a week now, still letting the paint air out for awhile. I did a test fit pic so I'll share that a bit later =] I think I'll enjoy being a Mandalorian bounty bunter :P Armor will come later though

Might as well :P I'll get some better pics when I get my armor in but for now all I have is the helmet at least and a blaster =] This was taken Sunday for a test fit. The horn is a thing for the group I'm in. Its dark blue main color and medium grey on the cheeks, range finder will be a bit later as well hence why the ear covers for now

What is the armor made from? Did you order or make yourself?

Order, 3d printed my buddy was experimenting with. He was doing old school hand cut for awhile but didn't really like the last results so. Will also be fully finished and painted for me too since I can't really be around spray paint or whatever is used x.x

Hi Zren, Velcro and Press Snap fasteners are your friend!
You might want to look up some videos on YouTube by our friend Darth Rage (Darth Rage Reviews) as he has recently assembled an awesome Mando costume (and a Clone Trooper one too). He may have some tips you could use.

Can't really find anything on that x.x But which would go on what, velcro flight suit snaps on armor or other way around?

Hi again, sorry I should have been a bit clearer - you don't need to use both Velcro and press snaps together, I was just mentioning two methods for attaching costume parts. For Mando armour plates such as the thighs and shoulders you can use Velcro strips - the hook strip on the armour and the loop strip on the suit. They can be stitched on or if you don't have a sewing machine (or can't sew by hand) then at a push you can use fabric glue to attach the strip onto the suit and a suitable adhesive for fixing the strips to the armour plates.

I wlll share my vest and cape when they get in and should be having the velcro attached for me even since I requested i and hopefully all goes well with that end so all I'll have to do is attach the chest plates =]

Eh, its all good, I'm not going into that. But I did just go ahead and buy some armor though, should be with me at the end of the month this time :D I even managed to home make a few pieces of my own since I just wanted the one knee piece, saw some other Mando posts like that and they gave me some cool ideas to try =] I think you guys will like my Mando kit when I'm done with it

Is actually happening this time :D And the rest of my armor should be done this week and actually with me by the end of the month. Will just be upper torso for now though, gauntlets and 1 knee pad will be a bit later. I like their results so far though =] Oh and I will be painting it some as well so

very cool! That'll be neat to see how it comes together (including where those mysterious parts go).

So far its just the shoulder pads, collar, lower belly I think they said, and middle diamond bits, they always send 2, one with the details and one blank for if you wanna add your own details which I might if I can do it right anyway

Might lightly weather the armor kinda like the helmet, just some scratches on the edges and stuff. The main armor is in the US finally at least so shouldn't be much longer now =]

Should be any day now that its in the US, and hopefully before we leave on the 4th for a much needed Colorado family trip x.x

Armor will most likely be with me at least at the end of the month then at this point, so still a long wait x.x

I got a few more sturdier attachment methods I wanna try too after our Colorado trip next week so once that's all sorted out I'll do a forum troop for you guys =] It'll be lone wolf personal fun though like always but still :P

And also will be weathering my armor some more after next week when we get back, I have a few ideas I'd like to try for that as well =]

So yeah, I ended up trying command strips, the idea just popped in my head the other day, they worked perfectly actually :P I should be having a showing this weekend =] Will be kinda Armorer style for now, no gauntlets yet :P Like I didn't have enough command strips for all the pieces so still gotta get me some more. Its the 16 pound weight holding ones

Kind of a set back at the moment, gotta still figure out a few pieces to make them more secure x.x Wont fully shiw everything on until its al the way taken care of to wear safely

To anyone here that does Mando cosplay that wouldn't mind, could I possibly just send my armor to have professionally mounted to my vest to you? I should've been wearing it by now x.x I decided to take the collar plate off to do post-imperial Mando so. I know probably not the place to ask but figured it wouldn't hurt any x.x

Yeah I realized the armor was down way too low so I fixed that x.x I'll have the gauntlets more sturdier this week too, basically add 1 1/2 inch foam on the inside for anyone else that does Mandos

And at least the plates are properly placed finally not hanging down so low x.x I can recommend both magnets and strong velcro for a good attachment method as well =] Holds for me anyway
