Rise Against- Gotta love it. I can't really say anything else.

The Clash- Classic band, timeless music, plus what they did for Punk, and the amount of bands they influenced in ALL genres of music, how could anyone not like them?

Foo Fighters-This falls in the category of a great band that I don't listen to often enough. Dave Grohl is a genius.

Disturbed-I like badass metal as much as the next guy. Plus Dan Donegan is an amazing guitarist.

Avenged Sevenfold-Another band with amazing guitarists. Synister Gates is win and Zacky Vengence isn't too bad either. Oh and FoREVer.

Stone Sour-Was only a casual fan until I saw them live over the summer. Amazing.

Dropkick Murphys-Irish Punk!

Nirvana-Dave Grohl again. Plus Kurt Cobain was a genius who left us too early.

Streetlight Manifesto-If you haven't heard them go listen. NOW!

Speaking of Breaking Benjamin, I grew up, and still live, about 45 minutes from Wilkes-Barre, where they're from. And maybe an hour and a half from Halestorm's home town. Needless to say both bands are very popular in my neck of the woods. Oh and Mike Portnoy from Dream theater lives about 40 minutes from me.

Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater AND temp drummer for Avenged Sevenfold's last album!  Too bad they aren't keeping him around!

Yeah, it is a shame, but I hear their new temp guy is pretty good. I'd still rather have Rev though.

I saw Disturbed with Halestorm, Stone Sour, and Avenged Sevenfold last summer. Dream concert.

Dammit!!! I bet that was a Hell of a Concert, I Love AX7 to!!!  I'm hoping to see Disturbed, Godsmack, Megadeath, and somebody else that I don't remember lol, this summer in August.  Their coming to Dallas, and I DESPERATELY want tickets to go see them, I'm trying to land two, so me and my lady can go.  But money is tight right now, and I don't have enough to buy the tickets, hopefully the force will provide a way  :-\ .........

Sounds like someone was at Uproar!  That was a long haul for you - I was there.  Also, Halestorm kicked ass/was REALLY entertaining, and the guy hanging himself for the Nightmare opening was epic!

They Put On One Hell of a Show!!!!!!!!!!!!!  and the Ladies There, Were Very Well.......... um Endowed ;)  It Was Nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  (they put the camera on this one chick like 5 times, she's like what now?!?!?! lmao)

I really like their new album, Asylum. They are a great band, though live I don't think they are as good as Linkin Park.  LP can be VERY entertaining for their concerts, a lot of extra screaming and stuff. I haven't been to a Disturbed concert, yet, but from what I've seen online it's.. hm I dunno. I don't do mosh pits, and it doesn't seem like it would be fun unless I was in the mosh pit :P

But I love listening to Disturbed ;) My recent favorite one is uhm... The Warrior, and... Sacrifice I think. Great songs. Though the Warrior has some parts that sound kinda off but oh well. Oh and Facade is great :D

But hey, My fist will always be in the air! I love the video for Land of Confusion though.. that is an awesome video.

I'm a little jealous. I'd LOVE to go to a Weezer concert, I've heard they are amazing but I haven't yet had the pleasure of attending one. And I could say what that girl should have done next, but I'm certain I'd get banned....lol.

Asylum Was A Great Album!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I Love the Title Track, and pretty much every track except for "Ishfwilf" it made no since why they did this track to me, but eh.... no biggie, Love Them Regardless!!!!!!!!!

What's wrong with Ishwilf? Disturbed has done MULTIPLE covers for songs.. okay well at least a couple IE: Land of Consusion, and Shout 2000. I thought their rendition of "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For" was really good, and made me like that song a lot. At least their version. I just don't like the extremely long pause of no sound in the beginning. makes listening to it a pain and annoying. :D

Now I want to know when Nu-Metal became a label used to describe anything that isn't Death Metal. I read an article on Metalsucks.com, including the comment section(both are a big mistake, don't waste your time). All the Death Metal heads literally used that term to describe ANYTHING that wasn't Deathcore or some equally crappy genre that no one really likes, and only listens too cause they think it makes them cool.  >:(

melodic death metal ;D like old cob, norther, dark tranquility and all that. i also love folk/viking metal like ensiferum, amon amarth. then symphonic metal, like nightwish and epica. on a side note, is anyone here also on the UG forums?

Humm. I'm not much for death metal(or extreme metal of any kind). It kinda gives me a headache. Job For A Cowboy is ok, but other than that, the most extreme I get is All That Remains and Mastodon. Oh and I guess A7X's older stuff is kinda extreme too(for me at least).

I'm still going with that Freak The Freak Out song. It's been stuck in my head most of the last three days...

brutal over the top death metal can give me a headache too, but the bands i listed (except Amon Amarth) all make extensive use of keyboards and great melodies, making "heavy", but at the same time very beautiful to listen to. oh well, its good that everyone has their own tastes. ;)
