Title: Character Introduction - Jammo
Post by: wasd999 on February 16, 2011, 03:51:40 PM

As he connects the last piece of the lightsaber, he wonders as the intricate crystal he led
with the force, patiently inside the saber, how a piece of stone could change the fate
of the galaxy. As the sound of the satisfying clink of the chamber and emitter unite, he lets
out a sigh, holding the lightsaber with the force in his hands, he marvels with a hint of glee.

He looks outside his quarters before the city of Tapani, briefly, then proceeds to push the
lightsaber in its place at the display wall. The lightsaber shall await its masters arrival.

"Master Terian," a young padawan emerges from behind the entrance of the temple's grand
hall, "I'm sorry about yesterday, for having a malfunction in my lightsaber during the exam."
The master, feeling the sincerity and honesty of the boy patted and ruffled his hair.
"Sometimes we make mistakes, it is forgivable, unless undo-able." he thoughtfully replied.

"Jammo," a female jedi master approached him with a smile on her face, "I knew I'd find you
wondering around this halls!" rounding her head to make a point, "I'd like to ask for a favor."
"Let me guess," surmising the probability of the said request, but she did not wait for him...

"It involves a lightsaber, can you fix mine, please?"

Back at his work bench, which compose of a gravity seat with a table floating before it.
With all the equipment for mending a saber of any type, including a siths, lay out the table.
"It seems my little friend here has a overheat, need to fix the heat dissipater," as he reaches
with the force to hold a tool to pry the delicate saber apart.

A small, globe like droid floats in the air monitoring his actions. It speaks, "Master, I'm curious
as to why would that weird looking dissipater remind me of something troubling?" it asked.
"Evidently, she used a memory drive of a droid, thank you for reminding me where to find another
piece in case I loose this one."

The metal hilt screeched in his ears, magnified by the force, listening to that faint sound of connection.
As it slid inside, the heat dissipater connects to the focus drive board, the wiring around the crystal
chamber slithers around it, minding a gap created by the force imprint of its master. Jammo carefully
locked the hilt, again, like many times before, as if he lived to hear this distinct melody until his
death, the force connecting itself with it.

Once again, a saber is reborn.

I'd always assumed Jedi repaired their own lightsabers, but I like the idea of there being a "lighsaber repair" master.  Keep up the good work Wasd999!

Thank you very much, I must say the idea was from Jammo.
I took a liking to his character that it deemed to be brought alive.

But thats where I would end my write/type up, unless Jammo
request it to be done completely.  :D

She hardly needs my butt fixing her saber, though. Oddly enough, I think I know that chick...

I always like a little speculation. Here, let me shoot from the hip though and see if I can knock something out...

The man decided it best to hang back and remained unnoticed. Something was stirring in the Force and he wished to see it unfold as it should. The boy was boastful, perhaps not without reason, but a tad overblown all the same. He was a member of House Mecetti and had just won some lightfoil tournament, a favorite pastime among the noble houses of the Tapani sector. Lightfoils were, of course, an underpowered cousin of the Jedi lightsaber, flashy but barely able to cause a burn, even on their highest power settings.

"Who of you dogs will accept my challenge?" the boy taunted. He sure was mouthy for a boy that couldn't be more than 13 or 14 standard years old, the man thought. Just then, the stirring that the man felt in the Force stepped forward. He was younger and smaller than the boastful boy, yet seemed calm and unafraid, unlike the rest of the nervous boys.

"I accept." the boy said.

"Oh, House Pelagia steps forward!" the older boy exclaimed in a mocking tone, "I wouldn't think any of your house to be bold enough, but your humiliation will serve a fine example for all of your number."

With that he ignited his lightfoil, bringing forth a thin red energy blade. The smaller boy ignited his pale yellow blade and braced for the inevitable attack. The older boy shouted and flung himself at him, expecting the sheer ferocity of his attack to overwhelm him. Surprisingly, the boy swatted aside all five of the attacks that the older boy made.

"Well, you at least have some skill, but you can't just retreat all day, despite what the cowards of your house taught you," the older boy said, regrouping and trying not to show his frustration.

"Very well," the younger boy said, "I will attack once."

"Once? Is that a joke? Don't think yourself in a position to insult me!"

The smaller boy lunged out in a clumsy looking thrust and the older boy reacted immediately, moving to his left and counterattacking. To his surprise, the hand that he thought would be easy pickings dropped as the boy tossed his lightfoil to his other hand, spinning back around the older boy's counter attack and striking his wrist hard enough to make him drop his foil. Muffled laughter arose from the group of boys as the younger boy extinguished his blade and stepped away.

"You think this ends with a lucky shot?" the older boy howled, furiously gathering up his weapon. Two more boys of House Mecetti stepped out and ignited their foils as well. The man knew it was time to intervene and stepped out into the hall.

"Surely, you don't intend to set upon this boy so unfairly after he has honorably beaten you?" the man inquired.

"Oh look, the insolent boy has a new friend, and a blind man with a stick at that!" the boy remarked, "Move along, sightless one, or share in his fate."

"I like our chances, actually..."

The man took up a combat stance as a column of blue light sprang from his "stick." The boys dropped their weapons and ran, cursing as they retreated. They were no match for a Jedi.

"I am Cornelius Hulis, Jedi Knight." the man said as he stowed his lightsaber.

"I am Jammo of House Pelagia, Master Jedi."

"That was some fancy sword work for one so young... come, let us speak to your parents about your training."

"Training, Master Jedi?"

"Yes. Certainly you have felt the Force stirring within you, have you not? We Miraluka may be blind in one sense, but we see plainly through the Force, young one, and you have the potential to become a Jedi. Now where might I find your parents?"

"This way, Master Jedi..."

Its a start, I suppose...

Start? Are you kidding me? You just wrote your own story!
Not only that, you constructed it accordingly, keep it up!

We could start a new thread if you like for your story.  ;)

You want the nutty part? Its plausible as part of the back story of the Great Sith War and the eventual Cleansing of the Nine Houses that you can read about on Wookieepedia.

That doesn't sound good. Cleansing? As in, extermination?
Good galaxies, that would certainly be a nutty long story.

Some kind of "King Arthur" esque to the story...
Interesting though, but didn't like that "other" house
where they can manipulate truth to suit their need.

Doesn't sound bad, quite a good one though!
Can we sign up for Lucas Books? I think we can make it as "real" writers!
