Hello everybody, I recently received my Preordered Brylark and wanted to share my thoughts on the saber (along with several photos). This may be one of the only Wooden lightsaber hilts that I have ever seen, which makes sense, given that its design is inspired by a rare Jedi Wookie (as seen in Clone Wars & Bad Batch shows). So of course, I had to get it in Consular Green (TRI-LED) and it looks amazing...


Ultrasabers nailed the look of this saber, I love the detailing they did on the metal and the small emblem below the power switch. The power switch by the way smaller than many of their other sabers & seemingly more sensitive (personally I like the bigger switches better, but it's not a big deal). The wood handle is smooth and feels good in the hand. Although, I will say this is more of a one-handed saber. Just because the handle isn't very tall and the hilt gets wider towards the top, making it awkward to use with two hands (especially with the sensitive power switch). A quick side note, I noticed the slanted metal portion of the hilt is somewhat sharp, not enough to cut my finger when I touch it, but it could make a bad gash on an opponent's hand when locking sabers. Getting into the more technical side of things, the Brylark has an MHS-compatible pommel but not an MHS emitter. Which means you can trade out the pommel with other MHS parts. FYI, don't try to unscrew the metal stub out of the wood: the pommel is a separate wooden piece. So the bottom of the wooden handle comes off, here are a few images to show what I mean (the other pommel is a Savior).


Although the emitter is not MHS-compatible, it does unscrew from the hilt. This is because the Brylark also comes with one of Ultrasaber's new Skinny blades (like from Rebels) which requires a different emitter for the blade to fit properly. Here are a few pictures of both emitters:

I know this may upset a few Rebels fans, but I personally don't like the look of the skinny blades and I know they wouldn't hold up when sparing. Something I did notice on the emitters, is that all the windows are screw holes that can be used to anchor the blade. That way you can move the screw to the other side if you don't like having one of the emitter windows blocked out by the screw. Lastly, I would like to point out that this is a TRI Consular Green so it uses 3 LED's instead of one. Honestly I don't notice much difference between the 1 or 3 LED's unless it is very dark, but here are a few photos for comparison (keep in mind that the blades are UltraEdge Heavy Grade):


Either way, I really like the look of this saber. It is definitely one of my favorite hilt designs with its wooden handle and metal detailing. I'm actually tempted to use my wood-burning tool to add a custom design to the back of the wooden hilt, do you guys think this would be a good idea? Anyway, I hope this review was helpful, I will certainly enjoy the Brylark for many years to come.
