That's a great first hilt, Zren! You're right to cherish it. It seems a bit like a padawan or apprentice type saber to me, but a good 'first'.  As for it's length.... if 2 Cell Heiland flashes can get lights and sounds in em', I think darn near anything can. lol Your one worry would be ID, but really, as long as you can fit an LED in there you can probably find a way to make it work. Might not be duelable, but I'm sure you could make it light up and take a blade. |

Its just going to be a static prop. =] I got another one coming at you guys next week. Already got the design planned out. I had some sinktube left over from when we moved that I found and thought, hmm, potential lightsaber project. Lol. I think you guys will like this one. I might make an extension though so I can get NB sound and such. They should be duelable because the more custom people duels with them all the time.

Those of you that have used like, thumb screws for switches if you're wanting to do a pre quell era saber hilt, what would be the best way to keep it in place and nice and tight on the hilt, use a washer on the inside of the hilt? That's what I'm thinking. I already found all the parts I want. Just trying to figure that part out for the switch. Going to be getting the parts at least this weekend maybe tonight even if possible.

Finally got the rest of my parts. Pictures to come if I get it done this weekend. I just need the drill bits for each screw and I'm done. I might leave the rubber grip material off though. Not really working out like I wanted it to so I might get some real leather for a grip at Jo-Ann's since its not slippery like rubber is.

The sink tube I has a slightly smaller ID than MHS parts, but not by much, it's 1 1/8" inside as opposed to the MHS' 1 1/4" ID. It's going to take some time and patience, but I'm making this a sound build, using the ultimate fx hasbro board.
I had shelved the sink tube for a while, but I was tidying up and found it, looked at the threads that originally attached it to the basin. In a moment of "why not" I tested the threading in the back of an Initiate v3. Guess what's MHS compatible?  I'll have to grab a part from the other guys to let me put a emitter on, but the possibilities! |

I bought mine on e-bay sometime around 2007 from somebody in England. I have never seen any others, but I also have not been looking for them. |
