Haha. I may very well attempt to kill the next mosquito I see with my lightsaber and that filter now.

August 23, 2013 DEEP PURPLE Every now and then you hit a saber color so cool that it just blows your poor camera's mind. Sadly, that also makes it difficult to photograph. This is the darkest, purest purple in the Lee Filter book. It is not that dark of a blade, though and is a very cool, almost black light purple. (I will have to dig out a picture of my wife's saber when it was still DVA and compare). The most accurate rendition of the color as it truly appears is in the dark purples outside of the pinkish "glare" in the dark photo. I really like this color, if I can ever get a better shot of it, I will repost.

That is a nice looking purple, I bet it looks really great in person. I especially like the steel blue. Point to you for posting all these cool filters.
It wouldn't be a problem if I started a thread for Rosco filters would it? I don't want to step on anybodies toes by starting one.

Thanks! It has been a very fun project! I wouldn't mind at all, I started this just so those considering the white LED with color filters option could get a realistic view of the pros and cons of it. I would love to try out Rosco filters, but I'm in Taiwan now and shipping would be rough. It would be cool to see you post them and check out the differences! Feel free to even use the "color a day" title if you should so wish.

Although I do already have several done.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted. Work picked up and got pretty crazy. I ended up deciding that I will probably not be able to continue posting daily, but I will still try to get through the colors. So, here a few more that I have checked out: Pale Violet: Golden Amber: Pretty N Pink: Steel Green: Not at all what I expected Daylight Blue Frost:
