So, I am building my own sabers (4 of them to be exact!) from scratch.. these are some pics of the base material i am using!  Its 13.25" long  and 1.25" wide (1/8" walls with a 1"interior diameter) I am also making a Dooku style Makashi hilt and a 25"-30" greatsaber/staff hilt Wish me luck, I will update as i progress! |

how does one order just the mls unit with a "forum" color?
Just select any of the colors (I usually select the one closest to the color I want) and add the 5 requisition charges with the color you want in the comments of the order. |

Please note, it must be one of the premium colours (Sunrider's, Adegan etc) that already cost $5 more.
I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out - the Makashi hilt too!

The MLS units alone don't have that extra charge though unless you get AS. I just ordered one in PO and it worked fine.

So, I have decided that my entire lightsaber, with the exception of the LED unit and possibly the activation switch will be made from found materials... nothing except the aforementioned parts will be purchased..  booyah! |

i also figured out how to create my out belt harness for them using a flat topped screw and some 3awg copper wire |

PVC sleeves will really help give it feature. SRams has done some amazing work with PVC and a dremel. Also you would be amazed at what parts be used, I used a bike washer in one of my scratch builds. Good luck, can't wait to see it.

I have been scavenging around my local transport truck repair shop for parts, as well as my local junk yard.. i intend to weld two washers together and then adding them to the bottom just above the pommel, and then adding about 3 inches of chain with the last link broken open... adding so "rust" to the main hilt as some of the pieces are rusted up... I want it to look like the whole thing was made out of scrap on some backwater planet by a jedi on the run
