i just got a dominix v3 with UEHG and i can't do it properly in makashi, what style should i use for one-handed combat

wait I don't understand the question, are you saying your saber is making it hard to use your makashi form?

Are you using another saber with it? Because if you aren't, I'd say just go two handed. If you are, then you don't have to change your main form to adapt to the weapon. Develop techniques to compensate for (and I'm guessing this is your problem) the weapon's weight, and train up your arm strength, you'll be doing Makashi well like a pro in time.

Makashi is doable with any hilt and blade, just requires training.  However, if you really prefer another hilt, my favorites are the Prophecy and the Initiate.  Also, haven't really tried the Apprentice but it strikes me as a good single hander as well.
