Hello, I recently received by The Fallen saber and it has suddenly stopped working. When I just tried to activate mine the light came on and immediately went off, and the sound emitted a constant, high-pitched whine, or buzz sound. Removal of the batteries seemed to be the only way to stop the sound. Re-inserting the batteries just causes the sound to continue. The light no longer works, nor does the activation button. Here is a video example:

I received the saber at the end of December, and it's sat on my mantle since then.

When was the last time the batteries were charged or changed. Low batteries could do that, and they will discharge just sitting on the self.

Yup, those are the sounds of bad batteries.  The standard setup will do that when the batteries are too low do do anything.  The LED requires more power than the sound board which is why you get no light but at least some sort of sound.  The AAA batteries US uses are cheap and just good enough to get you going.  I suggest using Eneloop Pro batteries in any standard setup.  Mine last months in the saber just sitting their displays.  Every now and then I turn them on and with no with no issues.  In fact, they last WAY longer than the Li-Ion batteries US uses (those drain in about a week).  Try new batteries.  If that works, then get some Eneloop Pros immediately - their more expensive, but you won't be sorry.  If new batteries don't fix it then contact US as it is still under warranty.

Ah, yes. I just replaced the batteries and it seems to be working fine now. Some kind of actual guide would be nice, but what're you going to do? Thanks, folks, for the prompt responses.

Was replacing the batteries really all it took? I saw your reply on my post and was glad to see yours was resolved. I replaced mine as well but I guess they're cheap batteries cause I'm still having issues. I'll buy some higher quality ones and let you know.
