Hi I got some problems on the list of options when i was trying to finish the ordering on a Consular with sound saber. What is "Quick disconnect"? What is the "Blade Retention Screw Wrench " used for? And can I use the clip come from the Hasbro Force FX saber to take place of the "Covertec Clip"? Thank you!

That is correct. It's just an Allen wrench, but you need it to remove and replace the blade retention screw. I don't have a Covertec wheel, sorry. That's why I couldn't answer that question. |

I don't think the hasbro clip is the same size. I know the clip that US sells is perfect for the covertec knob available on their sabers, i have two sabers with the knob. I remember someone else asking about this, but I can't find the thread.

I would get the retention wrench. Its only $1 and it helps you adjust the tension on the blade. Without it if the blade comes out you may not get it back in.

US Covertec don't work with FX covertec holders. Someone tried to do it in their review of the Guardian, and it doesn't fit.

If you get a saber with a blade holder (Raven or Bellicose), you will need TWO different sizes of allen key (retention wrench). Mine came with the one that fit in the screw that secures the blade holder to the hilt, but you'll have to get the smaller one to loosen/tighten the blade holder to the blade itself. I went into my garage and guessed which one it was on the 3rd try. If you don't have a set of tools, my suggestion is to take your blade holder to Lowes, etc., and make sure what you're looking for fits the two blade holder retention screws.
Note, this only matters if you intend on changing the blades on your Raven or Bellicose. If not, you're already locked in and good to go!

Oh, maybe I should dig through the packaging a little harder. I looked through everything, but I might have missed something. The fact that I didn't get one didn't matter in the long run, though. It didn't matter in the short run either, come to think of it!  |
