I just beat the game yesterday, and I think this sums it up nicely:

The freedom of The Sims + the atmosphere of Runescape + the humor of Monty Python = Fable 3

Those are also all of the game's greatest strengths, as well.

I absolutely love Fable 3. Sure, there are some nasty pacing issues later on in the main storyline, the camera controls can be really aggravating, the framerate will drop on occasion, the quests do become a bit scarce after you beat the game, and the final battle is really anti-climatic, but those are really my only complaints. Everything else is just grand.

I could go on and on about why this game rocks, and why it could have been better, but I wish to spare you all the ordeal of having to go through a giant wall of text.

Anyway, what are your thoughts? Have you played the game? Did you like it? Did you hate it? Discuss away!

I never truly thought about Real Estate until fable 3; I really wanted the best good guy ending.  Cheesy

That was sad to see all of my vault emptied.

Oh, indeed.

I don't think I made a single bad decision during my entire playthrough. After I beat the game, though, I ended up doing the evil quests, since I really wanted the Dark Sanctuary achievement. Now I need to get my morality (and angel wings) back....

Hey there! I'm a huge Fable nut! I recently got all of the achievements in Fable II, and started with the collectibles in III. It's a pain. I loved Fable for Xbox, and I'm incredibly happy that they have decided to make an anniversary version, like Halo. Only thing is, all of my friends began Fable II and think it's so perfect. I'll admit, I liked Fable II, but I would have taken a whole different route than LionHead Studios. The entire story was garbage and only set things up very scarcely for Fable III. Which leads me to Fable III-- the one where you 'start a revolution. In my opinion, Fable III is better than Fable II, but the Darkness was just so last minute and really just made me laugh. I didn't feel threatened because my hero doesn't ever die, it was waay too comical, and relied too heavily on choices.
Fable I, however has plenty of story and revenge, more monsters to fight, more lore, and etc. Sorry for venting, I just really, REALLY hate they path they took with the series.
It's very obvious too, how in Fable IV there will be a 'proper revolution,' as you can see from General Turner and his stupid diaries in the Ravens Peek DLC.
I hope they fix this. Turned from a wonderful Old Kingdom magical feel to a steampunkish world.

I'm definitely a Fable fan as well, as a matter of fact my Lady and I are playing Fable 2 in progress, again, as we speak.  They're great games.  I really don't understand while Fable 3 got such a bad rep.  I loved the more driven storyline.  But more than that, not only did it have its classic Monty Python humor, but they went gonzo Steampunk!  Seriously, what other studio has made that kind of move?  I mean 2K and Mad Moxxi, sure, but that's just one character, not the whole 'verse.

Overall, I don't know which of the two I like more.  I loved collecting all the weapons in both of them.  I loved the character interactions more in Fable 3, Swift is a BOSS.  Yeah, they're great games
