Ok how about this thought... ...you can have the standard Force powers found in video games and related SW media, even the OP stuff but...and here is the big ol' see it coming a mile away butt...the level of the power and the amount of powers is directly related in proportion to your character's looks and body. Basic TK push and pull, a bit of suggestion, healing touch...looks human enough. The "I can do anything with my TK power" TK power pool...this would reflect in many ways, mental and physical...a huge head, better to process that massive amount of energy...most likely no hair and an odd looking skin due to the excess energy wasting it away...so basically... Yeah yeah I know..."well I would be good at illusions and just make everyone think I look perfectly normal". But no power is always on, and the use costs energy...so if this were in your laundry list of powers, you could fool some of the people some of the time but never all teh people all of the time. Would you accept hideous mutations to gain access to the OP abilities...or...would you be satisfied with the lower tier abilities and still look in a manner that does not make babies cry? Sorry, but the first thing I thought of was "Quaid... Start the reactor, Quaid... Free Mars...." "Yeeeeessss yesss you are right Quaid" (right on target)

I would be happy to have the cosmetic and other related aspects of mutations, even without the OP component lol.

Alrighty...general setting...Rust and Dust...fewer people and more stuff...lots of broken stuff...say 200yrs later...there are mutants of the science fantasy type... Which mutant animal would you rather be? (mostly animal with a measurable 25%-30% human features and function thrown into the mix...full intellect though) (your size can be larger than the original stock, figure a middle number between the animal and a human in scale and proportion) house cat rabbit mutt (med sized random features) goat rat feral chicken (limited flight) So to be clear, even with a small brain you will have human level intellect...in science fantasy math if we use 1/10th our brains then if the brain were 1/10th the size and used 100% it should wash out...sigh...just go with it lol)

With the ability to withstand nearly any weathercondition a hardened stomache to diggest all kinds of material and still gain nourishment as well as the high metabolism for bursts of speed as well as strength... Disease resistance, poison resistance fast healing.... Argh I am getting carryed away. I was very Interested in all animals above in my life and so I have a more than basic insight in their capabilities I may say and giving the setting there is nothing more natural to survive in that environmet than the rat. ^^ Point for the Rat!

house cat... I tend to favor cats in many ways with their agility, balance, decent senses, etc. hard not to pick this one. I would be happy to have a cat mutant character. rabbit... Oooo I like this one, classic Gamma World comes to mind. Fast, great defensive reactionary senses, etc. would make an interesting martial artist with Rabbit style kung-fu. mutt (med sized random features)... RIFTS the game all the way. Easy go to type for post apoc gaming as we are ingrained to align ourselves with dogs. goat... I am going to say this one rates quite high in my book. A goat has a cast iron gut and chompers to match. Horns, superior balance, good senses, and more. rat... I do agree with the points above, few animals beyond the cockroach have more evidence of survivability than a rat. Though this is more a species advantage due to them being prolific breeders than direct toughness. I still like them for character fodder. feral chicken (limited flight)... I did not see this one coming but I like it, again reminds one of Gamma World which is a good thing. There is much to like with a chicken mutant character, but I would hope to avoid the "provide my own breakfast" sort of thoughts. Eating your own eggs, it boggles the mind. If I have to rate them then I would first say that I could and would be happy with any of them, without issue. So 1st through 5th place are nearly a tie. 1. goat 2. rabbit 3. cat 4. dog 5. chicken 6. rat Chicken beats out rat only because of limited flight. That was fun. When do we play!?! PS The real fun begins when we consider the combined animal mutant character...which two of the above mutant animals would you prefer? 1. goat-dog 2. chicken-cat 3. rat-chicken 4. cat-dog 5. rabbit-goat 6. cat-rabbit The possibilities there are many. Fun thread. It is a welcome thing seeing multiple hobbies allowed and supported within the Star Wars saber community.

All good thoughts! I should have included Squirrel Possum Crow Going for the common North American leftovers...Cockroach and Pigeon should be in there but enough for now. Thanks for playing along. The actual RPG potential here is not likely as it is a Star Wars focus site but it is a possibility off site.

I pick this one for one reason and one reason only: I want someone to sing "You wear a disguise to look like human guys, but you're not a man, you're a Chicken Boo..."

In a post apoc world would you rather have... 1. strength of 4 mundane men (dead lift 1000lbs)...or...toughness of 4 mundane men (partial bulletproof) 2. foot speed of 4 mundane men (30mph)...or...balance of 4 mundane men (can run on a tightrope) 3. bite/grip of 4 mundane men (bone crushing)...or kick of 4 mundane men (like a swung sledgehammer)
