Anybody every try running two BuckPucks in the same saber?  If so were you able to power both (fully loaded with main and accent LEDS) with one 7.4v power pack?

Are you asking if you can run an accent led with a Buck Puck?

I suppose I was a little lite on the details.   Cheesy

What I would like to try and build is a single saber with 2 AV switches.  One AV switch will be connected to a BuckPuck wired to the primary color on the LED module and a few accent LEDs.  The second AV switch will be connected to a second BuckPuck wired to the secondary color on the LED module (usually referred to as the "Flash on Clash" color) and a completely separate set of accent LEDs.  I want to be able to turn on one of the AV switches and have the blade color be the one associated with that switch, say for example Blue and just the accent LEDs associated with that switch/BuckPuck/Blade color come on while the rest stay off.  When I turn off AV1 and Turn on AV2 I want the same thing to happen.  The blade be the secondary color associated with the second switch and only the accent LEDs associated with that switch/BuckPuck/Blade (Buckpuck 2) come on while all the AV1 stuff stays off.  This saber will have NO sound.  I want to know if I can run this all off the same 7.4v power source.  I do not think it would be a problem as AV1 and AV2 would never be on at the same time?  Also is there room in the hilt for all of it (thinking Standard Issue v3).  Has anybody ever tried it?   Grin

Essentially one single blade saber with two independent wiring systems running off a shared power source.

To answer your question yes u wire  both pucks in parrallel. I have used this setup with a RRRR LedEngin.  You will want led AV latching switches. With this setup U can actually run 3 colors.
1 color for each switch, plus a mixed color when press both switches.  If u use rgb led for accent led they will color mix also when each switch is pressed if wired correctly. So u can actually have a light side and darkside color plus a mixed color. I hope that helps

If I build this saber I will be using a US LED module, the kind they use on the Standard Issue v3 and Liberator v3.  The idea is to make a kind of Jedi/Sith "Spy Saber".  One switch will make it a SY Jedi saber with matching accents and the other switch (hidden in pommel) will make it a BR Sith Saber with matching accents.  The hilt colors will be something neutral.  For the accent I want to use a TCSS activation box with a natural card and in the inside with be one 5mm flashing yellow LED and one flash RED, so depending on whether you are in Jedi or Sith mode the box with flash yellow or red.  It is an ambitious project and I am just starting out building sabers but it is a future project I hope to take on. Smiley  As for the latching switches I will be using two 16mm latching AV switches.

If that is the case u will only need one puck. Just the wire the Red to one switch. The Green to another and you got your 3 color setup.  Red for sith. Green for Jedi, and Yellow for Sentinel class. Your gonna need to use 2 switches no matter what.

With a stunt setup the easiest thing will be to run it that way. Trying to run just SY and BR with latching switch setup would be impossible without a switch on the red and green.

Also SY is a forum color i think that it is resistored.  When u mix the green and red dies full on you get a very bright yellow i like it
personally it the same shade u see in the RGB videos. And the setup I am talking about is the same as US RGB setup except leaving a switch out that goes to Blue.

Thanks for the info!  Sounds like I would have wired it all wrong.    Shocked
