Hey saber friends, check out the newest custom stuff I've got to show ya.

First up, my Overlord ( which was shown in another thread recently) leather wrap done by my wife.





Next, my stepson's Aeon he got for Xmas, again leather wrapped by my wife, different leather this time with a snakeskin pattern underneath...love how it turned out!







Last up, the grab bag stunt I got when I bought my Guardian. Not sure which hilt it was, but it was all black yesterday. It didn't come with that emitter, added that from my Overlord which has a Manticore.  It's consular green, hard to tell here though. I masked and painted it this weekend  Grin

Wow! Shocked the leather wrappings are fantastic and your paint job on the grab bag is uniquely awesome! Great collection! Do you prefer light or dark side points? Your saber is red but I don't want to assume.  Wink

Definitely like the paint work, though agree that the leather wraps are cool as well. Point for you.

What kind of paint did you use & did you prepare the sabre prior to painting in any way (other than masking)?

Really appreciate it everyone, my wife will be pleased too..her work is amazing I agree. You should see her non Star Wars stuff  Grin
@Brian64 I'm an Aerospace painter so I'm in my element for once, my wife and I met there actually.
Couldn't use any paint from work though darnit.

I used good old Krylon banner red gloss ( w/ gloss clear ) and matte ivory ( w/ matte clear ) with the red done Sat. and the rest Sun.
Normally I would not topcoat right onto anodize but didn't have any primer available, so just sanded the spots well with 320.
Anything heavier will leave too deep of scratches.
