Just finished this tonight. Used contact cement to bond the leather to aluminum, hesitantly.
Gotta admit, I almost didn't do this because I was worried this wouldn't go well and I'd have to replace the hilts (fortunately, US sells the Aeon bodies and it'd be cheaper than buying new sabers...can just gut these and replace)
Hopefully I'll get to actually put them through combat tests and see how it holds up. After seeing just how well the cement worked, I expect it to last quite well.
