Suggestions for customizing Azure Reaper

I just purchased an Azure Reaper (should get it tomorrow) and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for customizing it a bit to make it look more like a generic lightsaber?
The overall design of the reaper is a little too plain and streamline for my taste but the fact that they had a blue lightsaber was just too good to pass up.
I was thinking of adding some stuff to it to give it some more texture and detail, maybe some black rubber rings around it, but I thought I would ask to see yall's suggestions.
