it is finally here. my Flamberge (High Polish Silver) in Guardian Blue. 40 inch main blade, 8 inch guard Blades, V4 Obsidian Sound, covertec wheel, and a recharge Port.
First, this is absolutely gorgeous. this si the first flamberge i have seen with the silver hilt, and the GB is beautiful.
the main blade socket is really deep, going down through the cross guard.
i also got a silver yari extension with vented coupler.
the V4 soundboard is phenomenal, the sound clarity and volume surpassing the V3.
and now the moment you have all been waiting for....

my only issue here is that i had requested the covertec wheel to be installed in the cross guard as opposed to the hilt, but this was added to the order about midpoint between the order date and the ship date, so maybe it was miscomunicated, or simply not a feasible location for the wheel.
please excuse the messy flore, its one of the many joys that come from having small kids.

the flamberge is heavy, but a very manageable heavy. the 8 inch blades are awesome, but ridiculously unnecessary. and they add a bit more heft to the guard, upsetting its balance. the yari extension counters that weight, but also makes the hilt almost too long. with the extension i am gripping the hilt between the power switch and the covertec wheel. more to follow, i will be taking her outside tonight after work and putting her through the paces.
