Speaker pops on Obsidian v4

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced pops or blips from the Obsidian v4. Every few seconds there's a pop or blip from the speaker in my Raven, and changing the sound font doesn't help. It doesn't matter if I'm swinging it around or if I just leave it sitting there humming, I still get the pops.

I've noticed it happening since I connected it to my laptop and adjusted the settings. Other than this, I'e been really happy with the soundboard. Anyone know what might be up with it?

Okay, looks like it might actually be the fonts I was using. The Episode 1/2/6 fonts seem to be a bit clicky and poppy, 6 especially. Disappointing, since I love the way the Episode 6 bank sounds, but maybe reinstalling it will help.

I figured out it was the fonts while going through all of the default fonts and listening closely. When I realised that the Ep 6 selection sound always had the same clicks at the same time, I twigged that it might be the font itself, not the speaker. It just sounds like the speaker's knackered.

Check how the font sounds on the Launcher on your computer, and see if downloading another copy from the forum (it is bundled under the "Novastar package" ) helps. if the file is corrupted at the begining or end of the "idle hum" loop it will pop as the board loops the sound to keep the constant baseline hum going.

If that particular idle hum is causing the problem, you can always customize, and swap only that idle sound, while keeping all of th eother sounds you like from the EPVI font; THAT is the beauty of the Obsidian board.

Mine also "pops" or "skips," but it doesn't bother me enough to mess with it.    It only does it with a couple of fonts and they aren't the ones that I really care for, so it's fine.   I suspect changing the hum would solve the problem, but I like the sound banks as they are and have no desire to change them.   But yes, I have noticed this.
