I've been using this saber as my personal/signature saber for a little over a year, and I Gotta say, I love just as much if not more than when I first bought it.
Right out of the box this is a very distinct saber, that blue anodizing sets it apart from the crowd from 10 miles away!
The claws give it a very distinct, menacing and dangerous aura that is very cool, but it is the details on it that make you fall in love with it. The techno etchings on the body of the hilt are an absolute work of art!
This is a very complex saber, Fully MHS compatible, and with multiple configurable pieces. Every piece is secured with allen screws, making it possible to fine tune the alignment of the claws, or even remove them for aesthetics, or to comply with some sabering schools sparring restrictions.
Being able to fine-tune or customize the pieces means that this is a very adaptable saber, and with just a couple adjustments you can truly make it your own, unique saber. You can also use this ability to customize, to fine tune the saber for your ergonomics.
As far as durability, I've used my Azure Reaper for over a year on a weekly sabering class, to include regular sparring sessions (full contact and wearing protective gear) she hasn't skipped a beat or had a single issue!
Having configured it with Ultrasaber's Obsidian v4, and Emerald driver (RGBA 4channel) has given me a saber that is as customizable as it is durable.
This is a martial arts combat training weapon, with the ultimate sci-fi flair to it. Ultrasabers is truly THE combat lightsabers specialists!!!
