A creative process game.
Not a who can create a god type of thing...but a down to Earth consideration about if one or both parents were supers.
Be creative, be original, and take moment to commit to a bit of a write up...paragraph or so...a bit of background, weaknesses, arches, etc.
I ran an RPG a few years back based directly upon this subject and will note my favorite one in a moment.
Any universe of comicbook foundation but let us set a common setting...
Shattered Realms!
The world as your setting knows it has gone through heck...there was a significant invasion (alien/mutant/demons/etc.)...they were finally repelled and now your Earth is recovering.
The next generation of heroes are stepping up to the plate...children of the old guard.
Let the games begin!

Nevermore
Son of Catwoman and an Egyptian super with mystical animal control abilities...Nevermore is a moody dark teenager with a penchant for being overly dramatic. His powers are focused around animal affinity, control, and limited shapechanging...he can divide his essence into a flock (constable) of 31 ravens.
While he nearly always uses birds when applying his powers he can just as easily control/remote view with dogs, cats, rats, etc.
He has never lived or walked the line of being a thief or villain, always trying to be the hero.
He has training from his mother and father before they died/disappeared. His fighting style includes the transforming back and forth between birds and man. He is quite observant and has senses far beyond human ranges.
Early on he ran afoul (ah ah wait for it) of the daughter of Penguin who goes by Vulture...she uses vast wealth to operate a crime syndicate specializing in micro-tech...all of her powers are tech based, though she is just as intelligent as she is beautiful...femme fatale.
As a loner he has done some good but welcomes the opportunity to belong to something larger than himself...he is seeking an interview with the New Teen Titans.

Drake
The son of a Telekinetic super and a normal woman, leaving him with telekinetic abilities that are weak by Super standards. Drake is in his early twenties, although he looks younger. He was raised by his father, learning to control his power and being taught the ways of a hero. He idolizes his father's teachings, and sticks to that code with his life. He tries to never take credit for heroic deeds, and won't even speak in public if he can help it. He trains himself to his limits, both physically and telekinetically.
He avoids encounters with other supers, due to his weak abilities. Instead, he polices a small town, stopping mundane crime and helping citizens when he can. He's even been seen using his power as a telekinetic umbrella against rainfall while he helped an elderly lady cross the street.

That sounds like a great one!
For the future entries try to include at least one parent of note.
I found myself at odds with my guy when I made him years ago and did not think about it again until I started this thread...I just was at odds who Dad should be...so in the end I went with the cat in heat thing lol.
Most had paired powered parents...like...
27
Metamorpho...regains his humanity if only temporarily and becomes Rex Mason, meeting Little Barda...the two fall in love...Cole is the result.
Cole/27 is child of Earth and Apokolips...he was kidnapped as a baby and raised for a time on Apokolips...on his first mission he escaped back to Earth.
His training is that of Apokolips and he retains much of the savage aggression of his early life.
He is strong, quick, and has good reactions. His body is an organic metal with a bluish tint. He regenerates at a high rate but this requires he must ingest inorganic material...so he is normally seem snacking on odd items like drink cans and hardware.
His youth and wild upbringing have made it difficult for him to fit in, though he still looks to find a place within the super community.

Hyper
A Mutant son of normal humans with the ability of electrical absorption. He gains energy from electricity and uses it to increase his reflexes, speed, stamina, durability, etc. He already has an enhanced physiology due to the natural bio-electricity in his body, but absorbing external electrical sources increases it more. He can expel the electricity he's absorbed through his body, but only in close range shocks (no lightning bolts yet). He can expel the natural bio-electricity in his body if he has no other absorbed electricity, but it weakens him.
He is highly skilled in stealth, knife throwing, parkour and stick fighting, carrying a metal baton that he enjoys sending a strong current through (when he can) and at least three throwing knives with him at all times.
Is in full control of his electrical absorption (so he won't accidentally disable any devices), but not very skilled at expelling electricity.

That is a great super! For future entries...lol...the creative game is to include known super powered parent(s) into the process You know...Batman and Catwoman = Huntress (Helena Wayne) (not truly super powered but you get the idea) An exercise to include some of our favored or just interesting super powered characters into the fun All good stuff though!

I prefer low level powers. They're a lot more fun. If I had to choose parents for him I'd probably go with Gambit and Rogue, since they're a couple and Gambit could teach him stick fighting. Sure, their powers have nothing to do with mine, but who says that exact powers have to be inherited?
