Hi guys,

My buddy got me a saber with an emerald driver for my birthday and I recently picked it up from his house. The light turned on the night I got home and I set it off to the side until today. The LED wouldn't turn on so I tried charging the battery for a while. 6 or so hours later I tried again and still, the sound comes on but the light won't. I did some basic troubleshooting, no loose wires as far as I can tell and one of the LEDs flashes occasionally when batteries plugged in. I've tried reaching out to their info@ email address but haven't heard back yet. Anyone have any ideas? or further troubleshooting tips I can follow?

Thanks

Welcome. Best to send US an email, describe the problem concisely to them and US will advice accordingly. Their after sales warranty program and customer service are excellent.

Thanks for the reply. I did send them an email but I'm honestly not sure if I should be expecting a timely reply. The address listed on their website puts them right in some of the worst areas hit by Harvey.

There were some posts several days ago. They confirmed everything was OK. I hope that continues to be the case. They will respond. Keep us posted to see how your saber goes.

Are you using the Li-Ion batteries supplied with the saber? You need to know that normal AA batteries will NOT work. Emerald, Premium Obsidian and Diamond all require a Li-Ion setup with two 3.7V 14500 sized cells.

If you're indeed using the Li-Ions, then you chose the right way. UltraSabers will respond, but it might take some time. AFAIK they're attending a Con or just returned from one.

That's good. I just looked up their town and the news storys weren't exactly encouraging. I did hear back from them today.

I am using the batteries that came with it. Support got back to me and I was able to confirm that the batteries aren't dead as per the little guide they sent me. Sending it back to them to see what's up. Thanks for the replies.
