should I try to start my own group?

Was thinking about reaching out to the members of the old group but not sure if i would be stepping on anyones toes.

what would i need to get a group started ?

along with answering the Where Are You question, what are you looking for from a group?  sparring?  waving sabers around?  costuming? choreography?

A starting point is the Events sub-forum, look around to see if there's people in your area or post listing your area and see who wants to meetup.

If that gets a few nibbles, consider making a FB group listing the city/area and "Star Wars" or Saber Club" in the name, depending on your goal.  That makes it obvious when others are searching for those keywords and are looking for a group.

hint: Guess how I found the groups in my city?

I think a key consideration is to be of common enough interest that more people will want to do stuff.  Hyper-focussing on one aspect will likely turn off folks.

what am i looking for from a group? 
sparring mostly, learning forms

the two closest groups i have found are both 2 - 2.5 hours away
