I'm starting a new project and have been allover the internet and local hobby shops looking for different types of switches, resistors, voltage regulators and generally cool electronic gee-gaws including of course quick disconnects. For awhile I was ordering JST plugs non-wired to make my own connectors, I found out quickly that they tend to be fragile to the point of using super glue and heat-shrink to take them up to my standard. After looking at different hobbies that are into heavy wiring in tight spaces, I came across these awesome little connectors called Dean's micro plugs, I used a couple of them in my Starkiller build and felt this was a part that you folks need to know about. They make (as far as I know) a 2 pin connector, 3 pin, and a 4 pin. Here is a couple of pix for size comparison to jst's and a penny for scale. For vendors , I found them in almost all of the local hobby shops and allover ebay.

i know other sabersmiths use similar type connectors, I havent had any problems with JST connectors so i havent switched yet, but you should always use what works best for your build

These are something that I should invest in for future projects. The jst's are decent, but they are a bit bulky and a pain to disconnect. Do you find these little guys easier to disconnect at all?

they are tight, and very solid, way easy to solder and they do come apart easily, the cool thing is that they are just a hard piece of plastic molded over the copper contacts (its hard to screw them up, and they can be resoldered and re-used.
