That was a great challenge...closer than the votes show...both tough...Captain America wins with the advantage at times end.

Next two challengers...and remember this is a fight consideration...include some information about your character so others can make a better choice...the challengers can make a post afterwards to defend the fight how they think it would play out, but keep it civil.

I will pick an odd character that is not as well known...hopefully the challenger will try the same lol.

Metamorpho

(old school look)

(new school look)

Metamorpho is an elemental superhero with the power to shape-shift his body into various forms, using the elements contained within the human body. He also possesses the power of virtual invulnerability.

Although Metamorpho's powers allow him to fight against evil, they are also a curse in that he is trapped in this hideous form, unable even to die; immortality.

He has extensive martial skills based upon actual combat experience with his unusual powers.

Shroud

Powers

The Shroud possesses the mystical ability to summon the absolute darkness of the Darkforce Dimension by opening a mystical portal into the Darkforce Dimension and drawing its thick, inky atmosphere in various quantities into Earth's dimension. This darkness is not simply the absence of light, but the negation of it. No illumination can penetrate it. It is unknown how much of this darkness the Shroud can summon at once. He can blanket a small auditorium in darkness within a several seconds. The darkness he projects does not fill a volume instantly: it is possible to see its hazy boundary move like thick, black smoke in the air. There appears to be no limit to the length of time the Shroud can maintain the darkness. However, if the Shroud is rendered unconscious the darkness seems to be naturally drawn through the portal from whence it came.

The Shroud has control over the darkness so as to create hazy-edged, featureless black shapes with it, the complexity of which is limited only by his imagination. He frequently forms the darkness into his own shadow in order to serve as a decoy. Unlike Darkstar's Darkforce, the darkness possesses no mass, and unlike Cloak, the Shroud is unable to travel into and out of the dimension from which he draws his darkness.

The Shroud possesses a mystical sense of perception enabling him to "see" even through his own mantle of darkness. This mystical sense gives him psychic impressions of his environment within a radius of about 100 feet of him. Unlike Daredevil, the Shroud can receive non-visual sensory impressions through solid objects. Thus, he can perceive people and objects in the room next to him with the ease that he can perceive the contents of the room he is in.

Abilities
The Shroud is an Olympic level athlete with extensive training in several styles of Asian martial arts, and is adept at acrobatics, infiltration and criminology.

Odd/obscure enough?  Smiley

That is odd and obscure...and I think he is a villain lol.

Works either way...quite the pair...I will give this some thought and provide some potential give and takes, see what you think.

Believe me, he's a hero. He has his own series, for goodness' sake!

Sorry HYPER, but Metamorpho gets my vote.

The Shroud is not a character I am familiar with int he slightest; he seems awesome but I know Metamorpho more.

Ironically enough, I just read about Shroud a day or two ago... interesting stuff.

However, in a battle I'd pick Metamorpho. Invulnerability goes a long way in a fight. An infinitely long way, as a matter of fact.

The Shroud has some really interesting abilities...not sure how he could hurt Metamorpho...I will wait for your input, how you think it would go since you know him better.

I think the pair would make a great team up Smiley

This thread has fallen by the wayside of late.

Perhaps a revamp is in order?

We tried the popular vote, we tried the battle vote, what to try next?

How about establish a setting, with parameters, and then consider superheroes being thrown into the mix?

This would help with the home field advantage or if he were in the city/forest/etc. considerations.

So how about we ponder these considerations...

1. heavy jungle
2. tropical conditions including dramatic rain
3. local tribesmen with poison blowguns
4. several goal points that lead to an exit

Goal points are earned by defeating another super.

Final consideration...

5. supers can be heroes or villains

That said...no gods or icons beyond reproach...so no Superman, no Thanos.

Let us consider the middle ground players.

Well with that in mind, I offer Black Panther!

Well, considering Kraven's past experiences with Spidey, I thought he'd be in trouble lol
