Is that a pool stick rack?

It surely is.

If it's not, that is a good idea. The only thing you might have to do is adjust the part that will be in contact with the blade. You might have to raise it or make the more room for the blade. Cool idea though.

I've got a solution for vertical mounts that I've been using around the house.  Here are some pics in my theater room.  This solution is cheap and can be done for easy removal or difficult removal (I have a 3 year old who loves his sabers so i go with the more difficult removal). I use Simpson Strong-Tie right angle plates from Home Depot to support the hilt (model A21) with two drywall screws. I put stick-on felt where the pommel seats to protect it from scratching. At the very top of the blade I use 8" clear Commercial Electric mounting ties (also from Depot) secured with one drywall screw. You could get away with just these and easily remove the blade from the wall but I chose to add black Commercial Electric mounting ties around the middle of the hilt and secure it with another drywall screw. They can't be removed easily and I've had no issues with them falling off the wall. You can barely even tell they are there.

Snip

Wow very nice. Any way you could give us some close ups so we can see what the mounts look like?

Here's some close ups.

90-degree plate supports hilt (felt protects pommel)

Clear mounting tie supports blade tip and secures to wall w drywall screw (tie is trimmed to fit)

Views of clear blade tip mounts with blades lit and lights on (i'll try and post some with lights out tonight)

Optional "kid-proof" center tie for hilt (you can skip this one if you'd like to easily remove the blade from the wall).

The basic parts you'll need.  I started using 90-degree plates that were longer on the wall side but found the smaller ones work just as good and are a necessity for curved-hilt sabers like the Dooku.  They also cost less at 60 cents each. I paint mine flat black.

Each mount setup costs in total about a buck or so.  Or you can pay $120 for this mount:

Thank you toddshogun. I might have to get some of those since they only cost $1! Wish I could afford that R2-D2 mount though...
