This is a guide listing various websites where you can buy costumes. I read through all threads about costumes and searched the web to collect this information. I have only included websites that sell items which can readily be used for a costume without the need to modify it. The first section of this post lists websites that offer items specifically designed for Star Wars costumes. In the second section you can find other costume pieces, which can be used in a Star Wars context, but are not specifically designed for that purpose.

There are subsections for different costume items, e.g. for robes. If forum members have reviewed these websites, I have mentioned if the reviews were generally good or mixed. (I have not included websites that only got bad reviews.) I have also listed prices for typical items. Note that these prices were valid when I wrote this post, but they might change in the future. The prices are only supposed to give you a rough idea, which costumes could be within your budget. Also note that detailed custom costumes can be significantly more expensive than the standard costumes listed here.

Finally, please contribute if you know any other places that offer costumes, boots, ...
Any reviews or experiences are also welcome.

Wow, good job Noriko. Point for putting this together.

Note of interest: Volante Design currently is not taking any orders until possibly mid-spring as he is a one man company and is steeped under back orders. He currently looking for more people to expand and get the ball rolling again.

Abbyshot also has some good stuff.  Nothing Star-Wars specific, but they have sci-fi, fantasy, anime, game, etc. clothing.  This isn't cheesy costume stuff, it's quality clothing.  Lots of long coats.  http://abbyshot.com/#

Excellent compilation! Point for this.
I'm trying to find out where one of my colleagues got his Darth Maul contact lenses, they're at least local for us (South Africa)

Wow!  Very well done.  Point for you.

Also, Coastal Contacts has a whole series of custom contacts.  Anakin style contacts were ~$30 each iirc.   Search "halloween" in their search box and it'll bring em all up.

A note on My Wicked Armor: You can obtain prices by contacting him directly, he will then send you a private link with all available items and their prices. The prices (I found) are incredibly good for the quality of the pieces.
I am not allowed to share the link to the store, as per his request, so you will have to just make an inquiry yourself Smiley

Was flipping though the websites posted and I was wondering about some of the relevance of a solid color brown, black, tan kilt instead of pants.  Any thoughts?

The only problem I can see with wearing a kilt while doing saber choreography is... well...  when you do spins and some of the moves, you could flash the world that which should not be flashed.  As a kilt wearer, I know a little about what I'm talking about.
