New to the Forums in the last week or so. I've been a huge Sci-Fi fan forever with one of my earliest memories being my father taking me to see Star Wars (The original) in 1977. I've always loved Star Wars and many aspects of it's expanded universe, much to the confusion of my wife and kids at times. I've collected helmets, ships, figures and toys, etc. over the years, but nothing too extreme, just things to display on shelves along side much other Sci-Fi memorabilia (I'm also a Star Trek geek as well.) I admit, I do enjoy the original trilogy, before any remastering was done to them, much more so than any other incarnation of the series, and aside from a marketing stance, I wasn't impressed with the prequels at all.
All that being said, the kids are growing up (2 out of 3 are in college) and I'm wanting to get back into the costuming/RPing aspect of fandom again. I do the F2P on SWToR, though I did some alpha and beta testing for the game, it never really held my attention enough to warrant paying for it. I'm still shopping and working towards playing with the family budget to justify what I want to spend on a lightsaber. I don't own any currently and am definitely more inclined towards the light side vs. the dark... actually, Grey would be better position for my current mindset.
Anyways, I've rambled on enough, look forward to reading many many conversations with all of you and I'll get some stuff built up on my profile as I get time.

Another Missouri welcome! I'm in St Louis myself. Been to KC about a million times though. Glad to have ya here!
What server are you on in TOR? I'm going F2P on it as well. It's looking like we're starting to get a decent amount of Missouri folk around here!

Yep, that was me... I almost astounded myself with my geeky-ness at being able to spot that. I'm about 90% positive my characters are on Ebon Hawk, which if I recall is the RP server. I'm having a fit of alt-itis presently and am making and deleting characters quite frequently. Currently I've got a Jedi Consular (Sage) named Roaffis, and a Jedi Knight named Lodash. |

Very cool. I have a pair of lowbies on Ebon Hawk (Viclean and Kríos) but my mains are on The Harbinger (8 characters). When I get over to EH I'll look you up for sure. |
