What magic schools do you use? A conjurer can be an effective character, and so can an illusionist (who is, however, a gimmick character more or less). To make an effective Destruction specialist, you need mods.

So far I've mostly used Destruction and Restoration, but as I get more decent spells I'll use a lot more Conjuration.

Now that would be cool.  Game mechanics wouldn't be hard to translate; sabers = swords, force = magic.  Sign me up.   Grin

The size of the world does not translate. Star Wars is not just sabers and the Force, it's also space, and most importantly space. TES games are limited to an area on a planet (from a continent in Arena to small-ish island in Morrowind). It's a whole new can of worms if you have even as few as two or three whole planets. And modelling the whole galaxy in TES levels of detail is decades of work...

For me personally, a focus game without the space component would be awesome.  I think the history of gaming shows that if you try to do everything in a game, every part comes up short.  Something like Jedi Academy in the Elder Scrolls context...oh yeah baby!  Grin

point taken, but still, just add the different servers/worlds.. and shuttles between them.. and there you have it... ever expanding, morro wind gameplay, but in starwars... problem of one planet solved... easy.. now to get it into production.. that is the hard part..

as for the whole TES thing.. i dont care about those graphics, its the bottem line game play that it has that would make a great star wars game.. thats all im trying to say, its just an opinion.. as i am also very dissapointed in swtor.. was a huge fan of Star Wars Galixies.... morro wind kinda had the same game play as it, in the fact that you had to use the skills, to further you ability in that type of skill... use sabers to get saber exp.. use force powers to get force exp... and the like....... ust like in morro wind.... you use sword skills to earn exp in that skill.. you sneak around to get steath skill points, you use different magic schools to earn the exp for those types of spells.... that game mechanic, with star wars as the face, would be the most epic starwars game of all time.. but it must be a .."make your own path" like all the others that are mmo...

that is all, this is just an idea..... dont read too far into it... just imagine.. and enjoy the greatness....

Note that TES games are not MMO. They don't have "servers"; everything has to be on your computer. And if there are many planets, it gobbles many times more diskspace than any TES game.

Just to clarify my statement.... The GAMEPLAY mechanics are all i was saying would make a good starwars game experience... I was saying nothing about TES making a starwars game.. That being stated. Ill end this part of "off topic".

Starting as a random prisoner and becoming the hero of a nation, the Divine Crusader, and eventually a god is the most satisfying thing I've ever done in a game, no matter how many times I do it.

The fact that my female characters must eventually grow beards does not lessen the satisfaction.
