Well first off, you won't anger anyone on here for asking questions lol. We're pretty easy going group here. As to what you need, it's dependent on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a stunt build (no sound), then you'll want this list:

Body
Emitter
Pommel
(Note - Some bodies don't have interchangeable emitters)
Latching Switch
Battery pack
Batteries
Battery charger
LED
Blade

If you want sound, then you need all of the above except:

Battery pack/speaker combo
Obsidian soundboard
Momentary switch
Resistor (I recommend BuckPuck)

You bloody legend, thank you so much.

Not a problem at all! Hope it helped! Mind if I ask what you're planning to build for the saber? Also, are you going sound or stunt? Be sure to ask if you need anything else for help. I know there are a bunch of talented people here who are willing to help, and I'm getting pretty good with building 'em myself. Don't want to toot my own horn too much, but I can walk you through quite a bit.

Well it would be a helpful redirect for those with similar questions even if it doesn't get stickied. I'll probably hold on to a copy at the very least in an effort to help as much as possible.

Im planning to make atleast one of both.

I mean, if i can collect Assassins Creed gear i can bloody well take the time to build something so wonderful that i have been dreaming to do since i was 6

But stunt will be good as a starter. Mates and I will be recording things so sounds can be edited in

You will also so need solder, a soldering Iron, heat shrink, wire (28-24 gauge depending on what you like) and a magnifying glass(not needed but makes it easier).  For the Led you will also need a Heat sink unless you are using a Modular LED System(MLS)/ LED Module.....and a bunny, A fuzzy one.(a puppy or kitten will work too)
Us old guys for get to add these basics sometimes.  Grin(I know they are Duh's but it is kinda like the "Do Not EAT" signs on the urinal cakes....some one will eventually ask)

Thanks for that man! good thing i do some basic circuitry work otherwise id have to go buy all that.....although i should do it anyway, some of my gear is outdated and my soldiering iron is a bit.......i dont know? liquefied?

OK! lets say im looking through the store and all that.

I have selected an RGB hilt and want the rest around it. Have body, pommel and emiter.

What else do i need for the RGB? as far as i have read i need to use the dummy cell because you can overcharge the LED. but what else specifically?

I'm sorry to bother anyone after so long. I'm new on this.
I was studying your list of what's required to construct a lightsaber and I am rather confused between the latching switch and the momentary switch.
Could you tell me what each is and what it would do in the circuit for this lightsaber?

Thanks for the help

A latching switch is a simple on/off switch.  It is used in the stunt builds as the only thing you are doing is turning a light bulb on and off.

A momentary switch is used to send a quick signal to a control device, in this case the sound board.

does anybody know how to remove the LED on an ultrasaber. i have been able to take the LED and the battery pack out of the handle, but they are connected at the switch and i cannot seem to be  able to remove that.
