Ok quick question reference colour discs....

This is a pic of my VA initiate.



The colour is very similar to that of the mix between the Red and Blue of an RGB Saber. If I want to tune it towards blue more i know i can use the colour discs sold at TCSS but my question is......

Could i use a blue coloured filter for a mini mag light? you know the torches you can buy at most disposal stores? I cant see why i couldnt.... i guess it would all depend on the diameter of the mag light filter.

Also are the RGB LED's fine tuned using different resistors for the three different colours? just a little curious thats all.

Ultra has been known to send them out for FREE once in a while (color discs).  He's pretty cool like that LoL

Just be careful what types of color discs you use, they are subtractive so they take light (brightness) away.  I'm not sure how much light the discs from the mini-mag you want to try will take away.

The RGB mixes can also be fine tuned with different resistors (or even a potentiometer) as well.  Deep can tell you a lot more about the tuning process and how they're tuning up VA these days.

Bump Smiley any suggestions Ultra? I'm in Australia and ordering discs from the states would be a last resort...

You don't need to order discs all the way from the US, they are just colored pieces of plastic, after all.  You can get actual color gels from any camera shop, or you can use bingo chips.
