Got my sons Standard Issue in today. we got the UEHGB w/AS led...blade cut down to 32" Standard battery setup.
Ill admit i am not to happy with the color disks and the UE blade. i already knew the color disks were not that great already. Ill have to pick up Lee Filters soon!! But that's what my son picked was his allowance money to spend.
He is happy with it though! As far as the Standard Issue hilt it self this is are 1st all solid silver hilt. No slippage in my hand at all unlike the black anodizing which a bit slippery at times. Feels really good with a 32" HG on it.
ok on to the pics!!! lol You will notice the black O ring on the pommel keeps it from coming loose when spinning and playing!

I gotta admit AS is starting to grow on me. Even in the UEHG...The UEHG is a bit more trans white than I expected. Yep that's are 1st UE that we have purchased. Even on are other sabers in GB,CG and BR I can still see that inner tube. UEHG well is not for me but my son is happy with it...and more important!!

I have a very similar one, except it's customized. With Arbiter pommel and two covertecs.

Nice saber.  The silver blade looks great with the silver hilt.  Plus he can filter it to change colors should he so desire.  I have two silver-bladed sabers (and just ordered a third!) and always get good comments on the color.  Its like no one ever thought of a white bladed saber.   Shocked

AS & LEE FILTERS...that's the way to go!
Been playing with my new lee filters and the colors are awesome.

I was that close to getting a Standard Issue instead of my Initiate.  I'm still on the fence.  It's such a simple saber that it's beautiful.  Definitely like the idea of going with Adegan Silver, but I agree with you on the Standard setup as well.   IMO it's definitely worth it to wait a bit and get the Li-Ion setup. 

Anyway, great looking saber!  Glad the kid's happy!
