This does slightly worry me about Ep VII though.  If Disney acts like Marvel does with their employees they may have a hard time getting good talent in the film.

Don't worry.

One day RDJ won't be Iron Man, but it won't be anytime soon.

At this point in the game for them to not bring RDJ back would be like making more Die Hard movies without Bruce Willis.

I'm not worried so much about RDJ (even though I love his character) as I am about the whole franchise in general.  They really need to bring ALL of them back to save continuity.  It could be rough to make sure they all get in for Phase 2/3.

Well, when you low-ball your actors to ludicrous degrees, this will happen.
Marvel has always been tight-fisted financially, and they need to realize if they want to get actors to stay, they need to offer more than a pittance.
(I mean, $500k isn't a pittance to me, but you get what I mean.)
I don't think this is the last time we'll see Downey as Stark.  He'll pitch a really high number, the studio will counter with something really low, they'll go back and forth for a bit.  It'll work out in the end.  Might be a little nasty, depending on what Marvel does along the way, but it'll work out.
