Eh, sorta, the Obsidian is still crackling a little while the hum sound is made and it messes with the light on some of the sounds.

other than that, it's working fine.

That smoking is not a good sign.  I'd send it in.  The fact that the sound has somewhat been altered indicates something's up.  The same happened a few months back to a Shock LE I once owned after having attempted to change the sound font.  It wouldn't turn off and then it started to smoke so I immediately pulled the batteries out.  The board had to be replaced and there were no problems thereafter.

As for sending it in, how would I go about doing so and does the board have a warranty?

I would love to get it replaced.

It should be covered under the warranty. Just use the email link, I posted above, and make sure to add your customer ID, and order number in the email, along with your issue. That info should all be on the receipt, you were emailed, when you purchased your saber. Emory will get back to you. He's been very helpful to me, with anything I've had an issue or question with  Smiley
