Waiting on a truly custom saber from an individual sabersmith, not sure how much of it I can discuss on this forum cause it has no US parts at all.  Custom paint job is done, electronics/sound install in progress, should hopefully be shipping out this week.  I'll try to sneak it into the background of one my collection pics since it seems that is ok to do around here.

Guess who caved an ordered yet another mystery box saber a little over a month after the last order? Yup, me and some pretty great life decisions. It's going to be here in about day so that's exciting.

So, our family has five kids.
The youngest loves lightsabers, but he's five and rather likely to break things.
So...."google search 'unbreakable light saber'" because spending more money upfront for an unbreakable to is much better than buying something that gets broken in a month.

I bought the first saber Wednesday night.

....last night, I bought six more.

We (I) decided to go with four Initiate hilts, two Dominix hilts, three quick release couplers, and the free mystery box because of the size of the order.
That way, we have seven swords, or three bo staves (we do a bit of martial arts in the house, the kids like bo staves a lot).

Colors are Green, Blue, Purple, Red, White (tri with disks), Banes heart (pink for the hello kitty child), and the random off the mystery box.
All UltraEdge Heavy (see the top mention about breaking things).
All with lithium ion batteries and the good chargers.

This household is going to go insane when we go from zero to SEVEN lightsabers.
Seven sabers.
Seven.

Go big or go home, right?    Congrats on your magnificent seven sabers! They sound simply amazing, and though there will be madness it will be madness with delight. Nice call on the heavy grade blades, too. The film inside the blades tend to twist and wrinkle if you duel or otherwise hit things like trees with a midgrade blade, and though the blade is still "usable", it's not as cool.  The HG blades are twice as thick, so a bit heaver, but so worth it for peace of mind that you can go full on when you want to.

I do have a suggestion, based on personal experience, that you buy a swatchbook of LEE Filters to use with the TRI Adegan Silver saber to use instead of the color disks. The color disks SIGNIFICANTLY dim the brightness of the blade because of how thick they are and made of plastic, but the LEE filters are thin like photographic film and will give you a much wider range of color choices.  You can get a swatch book of LEE Filters almost free from here if you put in the coupon code "SWATCH" during checkout:

And then you can buy a hole punch (much faster, easier and cleaner than cutting out a one inch circle from the filters each time) from here:

Because the hole punch was meant for papers, all you have to do is fold a piece of paper and place the Lee filter in the fold of the paper and then use the hole punch to cut through all three layers.  The paper gives you the more rigid outer shell the hole punch needs and the film in the middle gets a clean cut.  I did a small tutorial video here, but in that example I'm using a large 1 1/2 inch punch (stick with the one inch version for sabers without MHS compatible/removable emitters):

Well. . . I broke down and ordered a mystery box saber. I was planning on waiting for Christmas time but patience is not my strong suit. I expect it will ship on Monday and then the obsessive tracker checking begins a new.
