Wow. 6 pages of XBox bashing..... Not really seeing much discussion(aside from the GS thing), just a bunch of posts that amount to XBox One sucks! lol.

I'm definitely liking the PS4 better though. Not a fan of the "Big Brother" thing that seems to be happening with XBox.

Hahaha I do think that it is getting a little too much hate, and that a lot of people (not directed at those in this thread, I mean in general) are just jumping on the band wagon. The Xbox One will just be like Apple and Alienware products, hated by the majority who don't understand. (again, I am not making comments toward anybody in this thread)

Yeah, I sincerely think that Microsoft doesn't deserve all the hate that they get. In fact, I don't think anyone deserves THAT much hate. I only made fun of them because I'm a loser that can only come up with painfully obvious jokes Well, and because I don't like the things that they were doing/are doing. Still, they did go a bit too far, so I do understand the criticism. However, the future of total digital distribution is coming, whether people like it or not. So on one hand, kudos to Microsoft for their forward thinking. But, on the other hand, boo hoo to Microsoft for the Kinect and all the other rubbish.

Eh, I like consistency. Maybe my Xbox 360 will be getting a partner after all... Who knows. Either way, I'm not planning on pre-ordering any of the new consoles, so I will have plenty of time to make up my mind. However, I have been talking with my friends on Xbox Live today, and they say that they might get the Xbox One, so I'll probably do the same just because of that. Otherwise, gaming will be very lonely on the PS4....

Isn't it pretty much the case that in all the generations, the 'best' hardware hasn't won? Maybe it's just my memory, but looking back the Game Gear was technically superior to the Game Boy, the Genesis/Mega Drive was superior to the SNES, the Saturn was better than the PS1, the PS3 was more powerful than the 360 or Wii... I'm not sure about the PS2/XBox/Gamecube/Dreamcast era, but I don't think the PS2 was the most powerful of the generation.

There's a definite problem in identifying the 'best' hardware, anyway. And it's less what hardware you have, more what you do with it (or what games you have on it).

The price is a lot morelikely to put people off than the hardware, I'd say.

I can honestly say that if MS had made this decision before I pre-ordered the PS4, I likely would have stuck with the XBone...too late for me though, so Sony wins for me.

I'm impressed they changed course so quickly.  $500 for a console is still too high, I think.  Even $400 for the PS4 is pushing it. 

If I wasn't so psyched up for Star Citizen, which is PC only, I'd likely pre-order one of the consoles.

Well, I guess this means no Knack and no The Last of Us for me. No Killzone either, and I've actually been looking forward to getting into that series. Still, at least I get Halo 5 and Elder Scrolls Online. And my friends. Friends are all I need.
