Hope this hasn't been covered yet; Does anyone have any ideas for transporting saber and blades during air travel?

Golf bag or something similar.  You might get a solid/reinforced bag to keep it from getting damaged.

Thanks for your suggestion.  I think I have just answered my own question.  While looking through the adds in the Sunday paper I came across a rifle case.  the add said it was heavy duty plastic, lined with foam, and had a feature that you could place a pad lock on it.   I'm going to take a look at it in a couple of days to see if it will suit the purpose.   Let all of you know what I found out.

checked it out. Yes, in my opinion this would be the way to go.  It has everything that I stated above.  I also checked with TSA (the ones in Fargo) and they said this would be allowed as "checked baggage".

My main hand is exactly 120 CM long. I ordered this bag.

I'll let everyone know how it works out! While I wait for this to ship I'm using a soft guitar case. The only problem is that I need to take the blades out of the hilt. But they all fit together nicely and no one asks questions while I'm walking down the street, so that's nice in a way.

I like the different pockets in this bag.  Hope it serves your purpose and it should.  Smiley

Didn’t see anything about paddings. Do you know if it is?

Here's a picture of it in person next to my main-hand (Fulcrum).

There is no padding inside the bag, but I wrap each hilt with a cloth so they don't rub against each other. I can fit 4 in this bag if I want no problem.

All in all, I highly recommend this bag! It's everything I hoped it would be. Perfect size. And I can walk to the park now without going down my street with lightsabers out. lol I get judged enough already. Tongue

Here is the link again if anyone is looking for it.

A hard plastic rifle case works best for air travel. Use an end cap on the open end of the blades to keep debris out of it. You can just check it like normal luggage but you have to use a TSA approved lock on the case.

Bagging agents don't pull them out and mess with them?

TSA Agents will absolutely open the case to see what is inside. That is why you have to use TSA approved locks. Not sure if they mess with them, but they will certainly inspect them closely to make sure they aren't dangerous.
