I like it as is also. Looks cool and different. If you were going for the beat up Sith saber looking thing then I think you got it pretty good. =]

I say put an identical cut on the reverse face of the emitter to make it symmetrical; that should give you a boss-looking emitter (you'd get points for innovation as well)

Shroud it. Take a look at my Initiate V2 Serenity. Take it to Home Depot and find a nice piece of sink tube to fit it and cut it out. I'm planning on starting a new shroud for one of my Dominix V2 this weekend.
