What's the original LED color and resistor ohm rating that you used? I have an orange that I'm trying to turn yellow myself if it's even possible.
I don't really know what the resistor is. It's got some numbers on it, but I wasn't able to make a lot of sense of it. (no color coded bands) I think they used to use a lot of 2 Ohm 3W resistors, so it was probably one of those. The LED is just a Cree, with red and green used to mix the yellow. The resistor I pulled from the old LED is on the red negative only, then I have a small resistor on my common positive, because the power source is only 3.7v. If you have an orange LED, it's going to stay orange no matter what resistor you put on it. The only way to change its color is to mix it with another color. I'm not sure if you can get yellow from mixing orange and green, like you can with red and green. Unless red and green were used to mix the orange, then you can just more heavily resist the red to get yellow. |

Several years after giving up on my struggles to get a consistent yellow with RGB LEDs (it's green or orange now, depending on my mood), I finally pulled the trigger on an Arbiter in Adegan Silver. Arrived today, and I slipped a yellow Lee filter in place to join the Legion.  Also my first saber with an Ultra-Edge blade. Definitely an upgrade. This will be my sparring saber, and it's step one in my plan to build a Nagamaki-length hilt with a "hidden" short second blade in the bottom. |

I absolutely love the Arbiter and really want to get one! Wow, the Lee filter that you use looks really good, doesn't even look as if you used a filter. What code did you use if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah, yellow and purple are really hard to get consistent. But, that's what filters are for.  (or just roll with having different yellows) |

Looking good there Kaz. Yeah, yellow and purple are really hard to get consistent. But, that's what filters are for. (or just roll with having different yellows) Exactly and there's nothing wrong with different shades of yellow |
