Are UE Heavy or just plain Heavy blades best for Red? Not many seem to be mentioning....

Hi Sith Lord. That will be your personal preference. I like the silver foil MG or HG the best. I like the more intense inner core and that deeper Sithy appearance of the uneven red color illumination. |

I prefer the standard blades for blazing red , not the ultra edge. In my opinion they just look better, plus if you get the standard aaa battery set up, as they start to die the color washes out bad. I will be getting non ultra edge blades on all of mt future sabers.

Both my sabers are blazing red with traditional AAA. I have standard Midgrade (tube effect) and UltraEdge (looks bitchin' in low/no light photos/video as the light fills the complete column) blades. I also just ordered (non US) 2 custom frosted red blades for bright indoor lighting/outdoor daylight situations. The latter will probably be my most wielded choice when they arrive because they seem to be the potential best combo of the aforementioned 1st two blades...And of course, they're "Red"...I'm a Sith Lord.  I don't saber duel so I have no need for Heavy grade and always carry extra AAA batteries to avoid dim/washed out blade effect in any environment.  |
