Hi Guys,
One of the best ways I've seen to show the "true" colour of an LED/Blade is to look at/photograph the reflection of the blade in a flatscreen TV. The image in Galvatrix98's TV screen should be pretty close to what you get. Using the reflection stops the camera sensor getting washed out. But remember there will be slight differences due to our colour settings on our monitors and devices.
This trick is similar to the way Lighting Technicians in film and theatre used to test colours using a box filled with smoke.

I agree with Tyeth that looks like a pretty apt depiction of Bane's Heart on Galvatrix's monitor. By the way, that is a really cool looking Monarch you got there Galvatrix, is it nickel plated?

Sorry guys, I’ve been busy building a saber display, and shooting a small customization set. The top (red) kat is a t10 diff blade custom by an old local maker where I was born who hasn’t made swords in over 20 years. The blue, 2nd down, is my sbg custom from the 2nd or 3rd t10 batch. Both are real nice mid level, heavy cutters, with high quality fittings. The two black kats are my wife and sons light duty musha entry level cutters for training with live blades. There’s nothing in that rack for show. It’s all for live training.

Nice! I used to own a Paul Chen/Hanwei practical plus and do a lot of Tamishirigri and Iaido. I would love to get a new Katana. |
