May the force be with you.

I've been searching for a jeep wrangler for a few months now, driving hundereds of miles to look for
the right one. A few hours ago I bought one, and even brought it home. I'll post a pic tomorrow. I knew
that once I get a jeep the first customization done to it would be a new shifter knob. I want an Ultrasaber
pommel as a shifter knob. Guardian pommel, or Dark War Glaive pommel, or maybe a Malice round pommel.

Unfortunately the thread size dont match up (obviously) but was wondering if a sink adapter could fix my
problem. Let me know what ya think or maybe you tried it yourself. Please share.

perhaps, you might need to machine your own adapter. do you know the threadpitch on the shift lever is?

I've seen people turn a Louisville Slugger into a shift handle. I'd think a US pommel would be pretty easy to make a shift knob.

I'd say this is your most likely solution.  Honestly, I think it'd totally be worth it.  Just keep in mind in the summer the pommel is going to get really frackin HOT

The machine work for it shouldn't cost all that much either I don't think.  Hell, depending on the sizes, the machine shop might have a piece of scrap lying around that would clean up and work just fine for you.

i would get a piece that fits your pummel threads.. then drill and tap the smaller hole for the shifter attachment... also id the pummel you are going to use a male thread, or female thread (the old FX MR hilts were female threads on the pummels.. at least the luke RoTJ is a female thread pummel)

Pummel>blank (solid) that fits threads of pummel> drill smaller hole in center of blank and tap it for the shifter shaft threads

pummel
blank
shifter

i actually have a good idea of this in my head, ill hit the hardware store in an hour to look at their stock, might be able to gets some picks

pOmmel, dude.  pommel.

But yea, that's a sound idea.  Might be able to find something that would work at an auto shop too.  Not your local Pep-Boys though.  They suck.  But a good speed shop that does custom work has to have done some custom shifters in the past.

Sorry.  It just hurt my head to read.  I kept wanting to punch the shifter knob or something.

In any case, it's a good idea though.

Probably male.  So far as I recall all US pommels are male.

Sorry guys, I've been away enjoying the Jeep. The thread size on the shifter rod
is 10mm X 1.25 the pommel I'd like to use would probably be the Guardian pommel
I'd need a double female adapter to connect the two.

I have been wondering, what if I cut a blade down in size and slip it over the shifter rod
then attach a hilt on the blade... I will have to try this, as soon as I get my jeep back. Its
at the shop getting a different set of gears in the front end. I'll be able to use 4 wheel drive
and go mudding, and rock climbing. Cant wait.
