you could use the allen wrench to remove the blade, set it in the sun, then just let it dry maybe? it would take a long time though  Undecided

Use a hex/ allen wrench to loosen the set screw that holds the blade and pull.  Tongue
Then while holding the tip of your blade apply centrifugal force by swinging it around. The angular momentum will cause the water to exit via the open end of the blade. Finally leave it out in the sun for a hour or two to evaporate what water remains.

What do you mean by "Plastic stuff" Like what's holding it out of together? and by "out of whack" you mean not working, FUBAR, or somewhere in between that? Is it just straight not coming on and making sound or?

He means the fiber optic film inside the blade.

@TortugaRidley: What you want to do (and this sounds weird to most people) is whack your blade against a couch arm or something similar. If you do this enough it will settle the film inside.

Blade out of wack. Hmm, that may be an issue. It is pretty hard to get the film on the inside back to perfect condition. Either try to take it out yourself and re-roll it or get ready to buy a new blade sadly.

Well if you come to the conclusion that you must remove the film inside the blade do it as if you were conducting a medical procedure. The film is a three by three foot square of ultra thin plastic( I think ). Sliding out the film from the blade will create a static charge that makes everything stick to it. I tried to get the film out of some of the blades I have, but four out of five failed. The problem is that the film doesn't come out all at once causing deformation (wrinkles, creases, and stretches). I've only gotten the film out and back in once without damage, but I had forgoten about the dirt and dust that was clinging to it. Now the blade has all these specks in it when the saber is illuminated. So think about your procedure thoroughly before removal!
Sorry didn't mean to lecture you guys.

Basically I was swinging my saber right by a pool, I lost my grip and it flew into it.
