I am thinking of ordering a grab bag for my first US and I am worried it might be the monarch or the bane. I'm not a big fan of their design.  Can i specify which hilt designs I have a preference for? or is it out of my hands completely ?

Monarch and Bane are very rare anyways. You should be ok.

If you do get a Bane, I'd be deeply jealous as I love that hilt.

But generally it's the sub $100 hilts in the grab bags - the more expensive hilts, prototypes, discontinued/unique hilts and more expensive ones are much rarer.
