So, I just got my new saber about 2 days ago, and I installed the latest version of the Obsidian Launcher.
I turn on my fully charged saber, and plug the USB cord into the saber, then the computer, and nothing happens.
It's like the computer doesn't know there is something plugged in.
I am using a laptop with Windows 8.

What should I do?

Is your saber ignited before you open the launcher? Is the launcher being opened as an administrator?

Yes, I have the saber turned on, but I am not sure I ran it as an administrator. But I did open it up and clicked the "connect" button, but nothing happened. Let me try again and see what I can do.

I'm not the most computer savvy person, so I must ask this:
How do I run something as an administrator?

Right click, Run As Administrator.

Or if its not there, right click -> properties -> compatibility tab -> tick bottom box 'Run this program as an administrator' -> apply -> ok

Thanks. It's still not working, and I think it might be a problem with the USB cable. But thanks for the input anyway! Smiley

Well, I got a new USB cable, and I finally got it to do something. It gave me an icon in my task-bar that said "device setup" and acted as if it was loading something. But after that, nothing happened. I went to the Obsidian Launcher as it said it wasn't connected, and when I told it to connect, it said "Device not found."
So obviously there is still something I am doing wrong, but I made some progress! Undecided

If that happens, close the launcher, turn the saber off, wait 5 seconds and turn on again then open the launcher.

So, for some odd reason, I was actually able to get the Obsidian Launcher to recognize my saber, but now I can't do it anymore. It is really weird and I guess I will have to keep trying.

OK, so just now I tried plugging it in again, and opened the Launcher, but as soon as it opened, the saber cut off and the Launcher said the connection was lost. NOW I CAN'T TURN THE SABER BACK ON! HELP!!!!!
The batteries were fully charged, so I know that was not the issue.

So, I solved the issue by actually plugging the saber back into the computer and downloading another font. It works fine now.
Phew, I was really nervous there for a while.

Does the computer read your saber, "Your device is installed and ready to use." I'm having the same issue.
