We are the bastard love children of the Jedi Archives and Q Branch.

See, now that does sound appealing to me.  Maybe not enough to be a pure Path, but I like the concept a lot.  Mainly b/c I like building things.  As soon as you said different takes on weapons, I had a design for light-tonfa pop into my head.  And yes, I know you already built a set.  But I can't stop the signal!  (Hooray for vague Firefly references too!)

I've always seen the Sentinel class as the special forces of the Jedi Order, given my military background (considering) guardian to be an allegory to infantry, and sentinel akin to being special forces, I am drawn to both classes.

Mind you the military allegory is a very 2 dimensional look at these classes.

All in all I selected the Sentinel class because I am at the end of the day a creative mind. My talents are best suited to creating, and testing new theories and formula.

Just my two credits on the matter

The way I see the Sentinel path in TPLA is they are the rouges. The vanguard of the new things, the trial ground for experimental ideas, and tech. The loose cannons, the brigands, the scientists, the mechanics, etc.

Well, when you put it that way, I probably fit the mold for Sentinel perfectly.  Not that I should necessarily be proud of that, but it definitely sounds like me.

Ah well.

You all know me, so you have an idea of how laid back I tend to be.  This quality is going to make the Guardian path very unique, as I will be looking for creative input from many people as we move forward.  As Master Nonymous said, Guardians base their methods on practicality in combat, but that doesn't mean there aren't many different ways to approach a fight!

(semi necro post but I saw this while doing a search and it fascinated me)

If we are going to associate the 7 forms into the 3 specific Jedi classes; Consular, Guardian and Sentinel, I would have to say while there is a correlation there is no real specific "preference" of one specific class preferring a specific Form.  It would play a part of the equation of the development of each Jedi.

I could  see a Guardian learning / mastering several Forms, or just one Form diligently and completely.  I could see Consulars and Sentinels mastering Form I and maybe mastering or focusing one.

Guardians - Pretty much all forms.

Consular - Basic Form, Defensive Form (basic form for basic lightsaber combat knowledge, defensive form for diplomatic means not to hurt people)

Sentinel - Basic Form, Defensive Form, Acrobatic Form  (basic form for basic lightsaber combat knowledge, defensive form to be able to avoid blaster fire and get out of situations undercover, acrobatic form to sneak in and have more agility and stealth etc)

But that is all just conjecture, Yoda was a Consular and he was a master of Ataru because of his body, speed, quickness, agility etc.

I think it matters more of combination of all things:

Strength and weakness, who you trained under, your preference, your speed / agility, age, goals, skill set etc.
