1984. Yes, I know it's a book, but does it make anyone else's mind hurt? doublethink is just awful and terrific all at once

Ugh! Fantastic and terrible. If you haven't read it already, do so. Part 3 is... difficult.

I find 1984 to be an interesting novel, it holds up really well considering it was written in the late 40's.  It's a good example of the extremes censorship can lead too.

1984 and Atlas Shrugged.  Two different authors nailing incredibly important points home.  

It's been a while since I read 1984, but as I recall, it's an excellent, if scary, book.  Far more scary than any horror novel could hope to be, since 1984 (and Atlas Shrugged for that matter) can/are happening before our eyes.
