To do a curved blade, no. But to do a scythe with a short straight blade would be perfectly fine i think.

Yep totally would work.

Though having a RL light sythe would be awsome enough to do it anyways.

Yes this is exactly how it would need to be to go by how they work in Starwars. And seeing how lightsabers cut through anything they contact you could wield this in the same fasion as a scythe with the same movements.
