Neither the dark nor the light, but the grey.

I've noticed that there are some threads regarding Emerald settings in relation to colors produced. Even though you can always use the color palette, it's just way more fun to play with sliders.  I was a little bored, so I figured I'd go through combinations so you guys can easily find what settings you need for certain colors, or just some settings for fun or different colors.  I actually have a RGBA driver, but I figured not many people would get Amber, so all of these combinations I make are with RGB only (which is honestly most of what you ever need anyway. However, if you're curious about combinations with the Amber LED I'd be happy to oblige).

First, the main colors (kind of obvious), then other standard colors offered, then forum colors, then a big list of other colors that I could come up with.

Thanks guys! I could always post for Hot Pink once my batteries are charged. It's a good halfway between Bane's Heart and Barbie Doll Pink, I would think.

I'd love to know how the Amber LED can be used in these color combos or other color creations. Have you noticed any advantages/disadvantages to the Amber vs a White? And is the Amber a natural Fire Orange? Also how acurate is the  White you can create with the RGB without the White LED?

I do not own a Fire Orange saber, but as far as I can tell, the Amber LED alone is not an accurate FO (probably because they use a different type of Amber LED).

As far as producing the White goes, with all four cranked up to 255 I can make a slightly better (red-shifted) White than RGB alone, and is close enough to be clearly identified as white, but I tried very hard and could not find an absolute pure White (though you can get a slightly dimmer, but still bright, grey-white by turning down the Red and Green diodes slightly).  However, I should note that will all four LEDs cranked up, the battery life is very low because it drains a lot of power, and in fact, I could feel it heating up a bit too much for my liking. I would definitely get RGBW if you wanted to use white a lot, even if nothing else but for the power draw.

There are advantages to having the Amber, though. I got this lightsaber to be more of a Sith saber, so I cycle between a lot of "warm" colors.  The best golden warm yellow that I got was produced with all of the settings listed under "Warm Yellow" but with Amber 255 added, and it is not only brighter (because adding light makes things brighter) but it was a warm shade that I could not mimick using RGB alone, try as I might.   Also, as funny as it might sound, but the "Lime Green" settings with Amber 230-255 added was actually much more of a neon green than I was able to achieve using RGB alone.  Adding it to the "Pyrestone Orange" or similar settings didn't change the color so much as it really brightened the light output (again because you're adding light), so traditionally dimmer colors like the yellows and oranges and reds are noticeably brighter with Amber added.

Two of my Emerald sabers arrived today, and both were configured with HG blades. I read in one of the other threads that the emerald settings may change based on the blade the saber is shipped with. Someone else will have to verify that, as I won't be buying enough emerald sabers that I'll be doubling up. Smiley

Here are the RGB settings as per the launcher:

Violet Amethyst - R133, G0, B255, W255
Dark Violet Amethyst - R47, G0, B255, W255
Adegan Silver (FoC) - R146, G255, B163, W255
Sentinel Yellow - R186, G255, B0, W255
Pyrestone Orange - R255, G51, B0, W255
Bane's Heart (FoC) - R255, G0, B50, W255

When my Raven arrives I'll post the settings for SRD, AB and EG (also with HG blade).
