On top of that, also include...the Invisible Jet from the New 52 that Steve Trevors crash lands and is then brought to Themyscira; It cloaks the same way the Helicarrier from the Avengers does.

I designed that cloaking device...it is powered by a Geissler flux capacitor to create a controlled nuclear reaction to generate 1.21 gigawatt of electricity to engage an implosion of plasma  Smiley

‘Batman vs. Superman’ Rumor: Wonder Woman To Have Different Armor

Movie and comic book fans have been given time to accept that Batman vs. Superman will not only add Batman to the Man of Steel universe, but bring Wonder Woman along as well. Yet even as fans hotly debate Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck being cast in their respective roles, the fact remains: the story being concocted is a total mystery.

Some have speculated that the iconic caped duo will shoulder a bulk of the action, with Wonder Woman introduced in little more than a background role. But the latest rumor suggests that the Amazonian princess won’t just be seen in costume, but will be sporting a new take on her signature armor.

Before any confirmation of Wonder Woman’s appearance in this or any other WB/DC film, the reins to the studio’s budding cinematic universe being handed over to director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David S. Goyer implied that their tone and style would be a sign of things to come. In other words, if Diana was going to be appearing in her own film, she could count on a more modern, tasteful depiction than fans had seen in the past.

That would mean, above all, doing away with the spandex, short-shorts and provocative outfits that have been seen to date in favor of something more befitting a warrior princess. And according to El Mayimbe’s latest scoop, that’s what fans can expect come Batman vs. Superman:

elmayimbe

"Gal Gadot's WONDER WOMAN outfit will consist of ARMOR. Not the Lynda Carter itty bitty outfit. I hear it looks dope. RT & embed!"

Again, the fact that Gal Gadot won’t be wearing next to nothing in her role is anything but a revelation – Snyder made it clear he wasn’t only interested in looks by casting Gadot in the first place – but the implications for the Man of Steel sequel are hard to ignore. Gadot’s ongoing martial arts training promises a Wonder Woman who will be in the thick of battle and, as such, will need more than cotton to defend her, but if the costume change is legitimate, then DC Comics’ ‘big three’ heroes will all be suiting up for action come 2015.

If that is the case, then it seems less and less likely that Batman will represent the sole opposition to Superman, as compelling a piece of character drama that may be. And if the fight awaiting the pair is big enough to pull Wonder Woman into the fray, a charismatic corporate villain like Lex Luthor seems to come up short (even if Bryan Cranston has the role). Could we really be looking at Doomsday already?

It’s far too early to tell just how much of the film’s story will feature Gadot’s Diana – or Affleck’s Batman for that matter. This is, after all, a sequel to Man of Steel. And both Snyder and Goyer claimed from the very outset that the top priority for the next film would be further developing their new take on Kal-El. Comic book fans know that few people can bring about change in the hero than his most trusted colleagues, but it looks like they’ll be challenging his skills in combat just as much as his morals.

What do you think of the possibility of seeing Wonder Woman suit up in 2015? Could that help convince skeptics that the character is strong enough to stand on her own, or is it too much, too soon? Share your thoughts in the comments.

Batman vs. Superman will be in theaters on July 17, 2015.

Wonder Woman Will NOT Be Kryptonian in ‘Batman vs. Superman’

In the time since Batman vs. Superman was announced at SDCC 2013, there have been all manner of inane rumors about the film and only a small number of actual studio announcements (e.g. Ben Affleck is Batman, Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman).

Most recently, a number of blogs reported on rumors regarding which superheroes/villains may or may not show up in the sequel to Man of Steel, along with speculation that Wonder Woman herself (and the Amazons) might be descended from Kryptonians that settled Earth thousands of years ago. Because the “speculation” was sandwiched between the “rumors,” many mistook the latter for the former.

Well, good news, everyone – Wonder Woman will almost certainly not be Kryptonian. (She will, on the other hand, be wearing armor.)

According to Badass Digest:

“Yesterday a rumor blazed across the internet, and it turns out it was the first bullshell movie rumor of 2014 – that Wonder Woman in ‘Batman vs Superman’ would be Kryptonian. Everybody got mildly irritated. But it turns out they didn’t have to be – multiple sources are telling me that this concept for Wonder Woman’s origin is not going to be used in the film.”

For what it’s worth, Bill Ramey of Batman on Film – who supplied the rumors/speculation – wrote this today:

“Apparently, several outlets picked up on what I wrote in the mailbag below – especially my take on how Amazons might be explained in ‘Batman vs. Superman’ – and claimed that I was reporting it as fact and/or that it was a ‘rumor’ I had heard.  They. Are. All. WRONG.

“It’s nothing more than me guessing how Goyer and Snyder might characterize Wonder Woman and the origin of the Amazons. Carry on…”

Obviously, anytime it’s explicitly stated that the first big screen version of Wonder Woman won’t be a lesser version of Superman – with genetic ties and everything – it’s a good thing. So let’s all cheer and high-five and stuff.

Of course, even if Amazons=Kryptonians is a terrible idea (in this writer’s opinion), it’s not a terrible theory – it’s easy to see why filmmakers looking for a more realistic take on a very unrealistic character like Wonder Woman (clay baby origins aside) might want to tie her to the already established otherworldly origins of their lone superpowered superhero who’s ever been a hit at the box office. Not that that makes it right – it’s just easy to understand.

This whole thing reiterates how tenuous all these superhero movie rumors are. We went through a similar swath of nonsense during the Christopher Nolan days (Johnny Depp/The Riddler, Angelina Jolie/Catwoman, Bob Hoskins/Penguin, Robin Williams/Hugo Strange, et cetera). Nearly every single crazy rumor turned out to be false. The official announcements provided the real information, and the biggest scoops came from set photos well after production began.

While speculation and the discussion of these rumors is always interesting, entertaining, and worthwhile – again, in this writer’s opinion – it’s important to do so with a massive, moon-sized grain of salt in-hand. After all, the biggest reveal about Batman vs. Superman so far – Batfleck! – had zero rumors to go with it.

What say you, Screen Ranters? Are you happy to know that Wonder Woman will not be a pseudo-Kryptonian in Batman vs. Superman? Drop us a line in the comments.

Man of Steel 2/Batman vs. Superman hits theaters July 17th, 2015.

Good.  I was not 100% on board the Kryptonian Amazons thing...otherwise why not already rule the world per say as there have been hundreds of them and one Superman is near godlike.
