:: Lieutenant Commander Kardac Shalth ::
:: Qanotha ::

~As soon as the briefing had been over and the groups had been introduced and were then working on finishing loading gear and readying the ships Kardac had taken off.  He went and got changed out of his flight suit and got changed into his mercenary gear.  His gear consisted of a long sleeve under layer for his top and then an armor vest with shoulder pads as well as some bracers and fingerless gloves with armor backings.  He had cargo pants that had armor strapped on over the thighs and armored boots that covered most of his shins.  Finally he strapped on a combat utility belt with plenty of nasty surprises in it and holstered his carbine on his right hip and his pistol on his left.  Then he grabbed his bag and headed to the med bay.~

~At the med bay he had the doctor hit him with a couple temporary tattoos that would last a couple weeks to make him look a little edgier.  He also had a couple of his scars refreshed so they'd stand out and trimmed his hair in a fashion to make him look less military.  Satisfied with his new look he headed back to the hangar bay.  Judging by a few of the looks he'd gotten on the way there, and people wanting to get out of his way, his new look had the desired effect he'd been looking for.  People were finishing hustling about when he arrived and it seemed some of their group was already aboard.  As he got close to the freighter he heard Bel's voice say his name and he decided to sneak up behind her.  When he felt he was close enough to her he spoke up.~

"Oh I'm here Captain Korvani...."

~She jumped a little and turned and he grinned and continued.~

"...And remember, it's Kaberc Shurret."

:: Belyra Vekraa/ Elayne Korvani, Human Smuggler/ Mercenary ::
:: Hangar ::

The smuggler jumped slightly and spun on the spot at the voice behind her, right hand already on her blaster with it half way out of it's holster. When she saw who it was she pushed the blaster back down and scowled at him.

“Kark it all Kaberc, you've got a kriffing death wish sneaking up on someone like that” she growled, more annoyed at the fact he surprised her. He was damn quiet when he wanted to be! He’d done it to her before while working on the ship. Seeing he looked a little different she took a step backwards to eye him off head to toe, shoving the rag in her pocket in the process. He didn't look so clean cut now, much more like an average spacer or gun for hire, and was sporting lighter armour. A slight grin upturned her lips. Everyone was busily worrying about how the mission was going to go, but if she was going to have men in armour around her to look at then she at least would enjoy herself.

“Better. At least you don't look so much like a military flyboy now” she commented, taking her eyes away from him and managing not to let her flirty streak out. She raised her voice a little so it would carry to the others. “I'll show you where you can store your gear on board then.” She led them on the ship then turned immediately left into the secondary hold. There she had some gear and weapons lockers and pointed them out to the crew, as well as the still open smuggler’s hold in the wall.

“More personal or valuable weapons hide in the wall, along with any that are Alliance marked. The rest go into the lockers, Da’Ra your cannon will probably have to go into a weapons crate. Any other personal gear will have to go into the holds in the floor at engineering, go out and to the left and it's the first door on the left where you'll find floor panels pulled up. Once you've done that head to the lounge, it’s immediately to the right of the ramp you just came up of, can't miss it. Ship tours can wait til later. Shurret and Styg keep your gear with you and follow me, I guess the crews quarters are about to be used for the first time in a long time as actual crew quarters.”

She walked out of the room to leave the men to it, escorting them down the passage to the two quarters near the end. One had mostly been used for storage but had been emptied the day before, with each sporting two beds in bunk formation. They looked relatively unused. Keler’s bags sat on the floor of one of them.

“Keler’s already gotten in first and claimed this one, one of yous gets to claim this second one and there's a third room, passenger quarters this way. The passenger quarters are probably a little nicer since this room has been used mostly for storage the last five years. It doesn't really matter what you pick you are only trying to make them look lived in, everyone is going to have to rotate sleeping shifts anyway because I don't have enough beds.”

She showed them to the passage that led to the air lock then pointed out the passenger quarters which also had two bunks but nicer décor and were clearly kept in tidier condition. “Sort it out amongst yourselves then report to the lounge” she said before heading back to engineering to help the others.

:: Specialist Jathan Cort ::
:: Hangar, Qanotha ::

Cort stood by with the rest of his small group, absent-mindedly listening to Zeeke conversing with the newcomers, as he made sure his Model X was in peak condition.  The Specialist glanced up towards Elayne when she asked if they were just waiting on the Commander, then looked back down at his blaster with a slight smirk as he spotted Kardac sneaking up behind her.

After being led aboard the ship and given instructions, Cort waited until Elayne had left with Styg and Shurret and then reluctantly deposited his utility belt with Model X and vibrorapier into the smuggler's hold.  Everything he had brought was kept on his utility belt so there was no need to go to engineering.  Instead, ignoring the others who were still stowing their gear, he quickly made his way back towards the ramp and kept going until he reached the lounge and took a corner seat facing the door.  Now with not even his blaster to work on he would just have to sit and wait for the rest of the team to arrive.

:: Lieutenant Commander Kardac Shalth/Kaberc Shurret ::
:: Hangar - Aboard the Mynock’s Bane ::

~Kardac followed Bel aboard the ship with Styg in tow.  She led them to rooms and Kardac eyed them.~

"Well Styg, you're the engineer on this trip, so you might as well take this one here closest to the engine room.  I'm a hired gun so I'll take the guest quarters since it's right around from our makeshift prison cell and the cargo hold where we have even more cells."

~He followed Bel around and she showed him the quarters he'd be in and then took off.  Kardac then set about unpacking some of his things and making the room look "lived in" in case the Imperials did a visual inspection.  Once he was done he left his room and began moving about the ship.  He did several last minute checks on various ship systems as well as the progress of getting everything stowed and getting all of their "prisoners" aboard.  He also needed to get with Lunelle and put the finishing touches on their disguises and such.  The crew wouldn't be happy with it, but they all needed to get into their outfits that they'd been wearing off and on without washing so they were dirty and didn't smell very fresh.  Then they needed to apply some bruises.  Kardac would give one to Lunelle and Lunelle would give one to him, then he would let Lunelle sort out who else got bruised by who.  Their prisoners needed to look like they'd been roughed up while being captured or while in captivity.~

::Dak'r Orta::
::Hangar, Qanotha::

Dak'r exited the ship curious at who these newcomers were, but also disappointed at his own performance a bit. He stood by as they introduced themselves being silent. He wasn't entirely happy about more new people; he also still wasn't thrilled with this mission. The whole time he stood mindlessly fiddling with the hilt of his vibrosword. He knew he'd have to stow it soon, and that was not something he was looking forward to.  But, he still followed the group as he was lead to the Wagtail's Shadow. Obediently, Dak'r stored his gear and sword in the locker shut. A bit hesitant, he closed the locker and followed Cort to the lounge to await further instructions.

"Well, Cort, it looks like it's finally time to start", he said plainly. "You ready?"

:: Specialist Jathan Cort ::
:: Lounge aboard Wagtail's Shadow, Qanotha Hangar ::

"I have been ready for days, waiting for the mission to start is the worst part."  Cort replied flatly with a hint of irritation in his tone.  The annoyance was not directed at the Corporal but at the situation in general and feeling he had been cooped up too long.  He eyed Dak'r for a moment before continuing in a more even, business like tone.  "We aren't completely ready though.  We are supposed to be prisoners, some appearance of injuries sustained during capture will be necessary.  Since it will need to be convincing I expect any sort of makeup will not be sufficient and we will need to provide the bruises ourselves.  If you agree, since we have fought before in training we may as well be the ones to take care of each other's injuries, assuming command doesn't have other ideas."

He wasn't a fan of the idea of letting someone beat on him without defending himself, but he knew it was necessary for the act to be convincing.  Cort knew abused prisoners wouldn't be wearing clean fresh uniforms either so he had already changed into his training clothes, which were little more than a sweatier and smellier version of the rest of his wardrobe, before boarding the smuggler's ship.  It was one less thing he would have to do and he wanted to get the mission underway as soon as possible.  As he looked at Dak'r, Cort briefly wondered if a bruise on the arm or side with appropriately ripped clothing would seal the deal even more.

:: Belyra Vekraa/ Elayne Korvani, Human Smuggler/ Mercenary ::
:: Passageway, Mynock’s Bane ::

Bel had returned to engineering to see that her help wasn't needed, then poked her head into the secondary cargo hold. The men were still stashing away their gear so she left them to it and checked a few things on the central hub computer. Keler and Lunelle were standing near the ramp, Lunelle waiting his turn to pack his gear away while talking to the Sergeant. The other three new men were hovering nearby and Bel rolled her eyes as she approached them.

“I said the lounge, this is the ramp, don't clog things up for those bringing the remaining gear on board” she said as she shooed them into the lounge area where Jathan and Dak’r already were waiting and talking. She came in part way through what Cort was saying and paused to listen to him speak. Kardac was walking past at that moment as well and the woman laughed when Cort finished. The two soldiers looked a little annoyed as they turned to look at her.

“So that's what you boys were doing earlier, giving me bruises for the mission? And here was me thinking you two were just enjoying beating me up and reminding me that I lack military training.”

Her tone was fairly lighthearted in an attempt to play nice with the others and try not to alienate herself from them further. Besides, she was feeling more cheery than she had in days, even with the training with the soldiers earlier and the fighter drill which she felt had been a bit unfair. Her ship may have been invaded by the Alliance military but it was together and working better than before, and they were about to get underway, off the corvette and cause some mischief and mayhem. She loved nothing better than duping people, especially when it was the Empire, and this was going to be one of the more stupid and foolhardy things she had ever done. The danger and stupidity of it just added to the excitement. She touched her fingers to the bruise on her cheek which had blossomed rather darkly by now. Ordinarily she would have made sure she put stuff on it immediately to prevent it marring her looks, vain that she was, but it suited the mission for her to be bruised and had reluctantly left it.

“Looks like I get to miss out on that one since I'm already adequately bruised though if anyone wants to be my target so I don't feel quite so completely useless, let me know.” She had an amused expression on her face and turned to the executive officer.

“Just do me a favour Shurret, make sure any beating up of one another takes place in the cargo hold. I'd rather not make a mess of my ship elsewhere and if you get too carried away, blood splatters will just add to those I didn't quite clean off from that bastard Imperial on Alvor.” She turned to continue walking up the passage way to her cockpit calling back over her shoulder “shooting people can be such a messy business, it's a pain to clean blood out of the decking. I shoulda just chucked him out the airlock rather than lose my temper and shoot him first.”

::Mynock's Bane::

::Kellam looked at the room that he had been assigned to.  It was small and not luxurious by any means, but this wasn't a pleasure yacht and the room suited Kellam fine.  He flopped over on the bed, being sure to make it look like it had been used regularly.  It was comfier than it looked.  He closed his eyes while everyone else was getting sorted, if they needed him they'd yell.::

:: Lounge aboard Wagtail’s Shadow, Qanotha Hanger ::

Zeeke made his way into the lounge and saw that Dak’r, Cort and Captain Korvani were already talking, something about giving each other bruises. Cort smelt like he had missed laundry day.

“Make sure to avoid the teeth,” Zeeke said flashing a wide smile. “And probably the eyes for that matter. We don’t want anything permanent and we don’t want anything that would mess up you vision for the mission.”

Zeeke looked around the ship was filling up fast. “Nice shirt, Cort, I see you are getting into the method acting a little early?”

:: Specialist Tharu Tyy'n, Bothan ::
:: Qanotha Hanger ::

The little bothan had been working hard recently to control his own anxieties about flying. The training at the Qanotha's turbolasers seemed to be doing the trick until he and the smuggler had shared a meal where she casually mentioned crashing something huge during a pirate attack. It had taken him a while to understand that it took considerable skill for her walk away from a crash like that and still be here, but his participation in the training exercise had left him a little worse for wear.

Tyy'n had already prepped his sniper rifle in its case with his lucky scope before the exercise, and it was a quick job of retrieving it before returning to the smugglers ship. Before stepping onto the loading ramp, the bothan had to steel himself against the idea of once again putting his life in that smuggler's hands. The people gathered at the top of the loading ramp moved further into the craft, and Tyy'n quickly found the place to store his rifle before joining everyone in the lounge.

Tyy'n heard the smuggler calling: "I shoulda just chucked him out the airlock rather than lose my temper and shoot him first.” His blood began to boil at the thought of the disaster of the last mission. He was a valuable prisoner -- or at least had been. Toen might have been on her ship, but he had been the Alliance's prisoner. Hopefully with more officers around, the smuggler's attitude wouldn't get in the way of the mission and it's objectives.

"Gentlemen." As he greeted the soldiers already gathered, Tyy'n's fur was unusually stiff, as was his tone. His mind was still thinking about the last mission.

:: Lieutenant Areta Viridux Duros Pilot/Intelligence Officer::
::Alliance, Qanotha Hangar bay::

It had not taken Areta long to stow his small satchel of supplies and pistol aboard the Mynocks Bane. For the most part he tried to keep clear of the soldiers and hangar technicians who were loading various things aboard the modified YT-2400.

Instead he sat on some nearby crates and read through the data he had been supplied by Alliance intelligence. Particularly the details of the identity he had been assigned. His name for the sake of the mission was Jad DeBrek the Captain and owner of a light transport, there was a list of supposed planets he had traded to recently and details of cargos and passengers. He also had some supporting documents and a datapad with various personal messages to and from DeBrek. Areta would hand these over to the Lieutenant Commander when aboard as it would be likely that such items would be confiscated from a prisoner.
Areta considered it fairly unlikely that he would be interrogated, but as Alliance Intelligence had gone to the trouble of creating a backstory for him it was the least he could do memorise it.

:: Lieutenant Commander Kardac Shalth/Kaberc Shurret ::
:: Hangar - Aboard the Mynock’s Bane ::

~Kardac had lapped around the ship a few times making sure everyone was aboard and had gotten their gear stowed.  On his last lap his R3 droid came aboard and he directed it to a quiet spot to park itself.  When all was ready he found Bel in the cockpit.~

"Captain Korvani, everybody is present and accounted for and all gear stowed and ready for takeoff.  Let's get moving."

~She nodded to him and started the warm-up sequences.  He poked his head out the ramp and yelled for everybody to get clear, then sealing the loading ramp.  He made a loop around the ship one more time and warned everybody.~

"We're taking off, so don't be moving about too much."

~He made his way to the cockpit and plopped down in the co-pilot seat and activated the comm.~

"Qanotha, this is the Mynock's Bane signalling we are ready for disembarking."

"Affirmative Mynock's Bane.  You are clear for take off.  Safe hunting and may the Force be with you."

~He nodded to Bel and she gently eased the power up and started swinging the ship about and sliding out of the landing bay.  They split off in a different direction from the Qanotha and reached their departure point pretty quickly.  He had locked in the coordinates and the nav computer was ready for the jump.  They both began to reach for the hyperspace lever and he stopped and gestured for her to go ahead.  Pulling back on the lever, the stars turned into starlines and they were on their way.~
